Hi guys, please help me out here. I opened a corporate account with zenith bank since last week Wednesday and I was given an account number and I can't still withdraw or access the money there because my account officer said the banks of the referees are not responding to them; is that even possible?? I have my money trapped there now and I really need to use this money for my business.

Has anyone experienced something similar??

There is an e-ref portal for verification of such across banks. All things being equal, 24hrs.

1. The customer is yet to respond.
2. Their portal is down or whatever.
3. They have not logged it on the portal.
4. They want you to get reference from their own bank (Zenith). This is always the fastest and easiest to verify/confirm.


Solutions:
1. Get a Zenith bank referee.
2. Tell the people you used to check their mails/text messages.
3. Tell Zenith you don't want again. You want to close the account IMMEDIATELY. They should issue you a bank draft for the amount you lodged in that account. Of course they will tell you to write, put it in writing for them.
3b. The RM might be forced to try getting one for you. This is unethical.


Note;
-The reference you brought should also be a corporate account. If yours is an enterprise, it should be an Enterprise or Ltd.

-If yours is a Ltd, only another Ltd can fly.

Corporate accounts give lots of headache.

I called my referees and they said they've not received any call or text from their bank and my AO also confirmed that their bank has not responded to their query so everything is confusing. Let me see if I can get zenith bank referees. The bank draft thing, how long will it take me to get my money after submitting the letters?

Try getting from Zenith. They can give you your money in record time, but they wouldn't want to. So, it will most likely not get to that.
