Had a chat with my buddy, he's been able to save 1m, will make it 1.7 in a few months time, now he doesn't know what to venture into with his savings,

He's still employed, on a salary of 70k, ventured into business partnership last two years which didn't end well for him. Now he's contemplating what to do next, whether to buy a federal job or invest in another business, if yes, which one can he invest in?

Different strokes for different people. Personally i would invest the money instead of buying a job.
Invest in something like buying and selling of agricultural commodities for example, it's not pretty or hip but it pays damn well.
There's a whole lot you can invest in with that but it all depends on the person involved.
