Your Excellency Professor Yemi Osinbajo,

The above subject matter refers

My regards to Your Excellency as you continue in thr discharge of your duties as our nation's number two citizen and Vice President. We as well meaning Nigerians are not ignorant of your zeal and passion to get Nigeria working again and set her on the path of progress and prosperity. Your statesmanly efforts are duly deserving of encomiums and thunderous clapping of hands during a standing ovation.

Mr Vice President sir, Nigerians are not happy! Nigerians are not happy with you! Nigerians are not happy with the situation of things! Nigerians are not pleased the way and manner you have decided to operate over the last couple of months wherein you have wilfully or 'technically' refused to share your thoughts or state your position on several events that have shapened the political terrain in this current dispensation.

So we ask Your Excellency, why have you suddenly gone silent? Has the cabal made you powerless? Are you still in firm control and command of the office of the Vice President?

Mr Vice President upon assumption of office when your principal the President was on medical vacation, Nigerians were privileged to benefit from your purposeful leadership as Acting President when you mustered courage and strong political will to drive policy reforms in line with the agenda of your administration.

*OFFICE OF THE VICE PRESIDENT*

*PRESS RELEASE*

*FG DOING MORE TO CONTAIN SECURITY CHALLENGES IN THE COUNTRY - OSINBAJO*

There is an ongoing deliberate and comprehensive consolidation of the security situation in the country including plans to recruit more troops and officers to beef up the personnel of security agencies in order to contain the threats and security concerns in the land, according to Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, SAN.

Prof. Osinbajo stated this on Monday when he received, on a courtesy visit to the Presidential Villa, clergymen from the Northern part of Nigeria under the auspices of the Arewa Pastors Forum for Peace.

Speaking on how the Federal Government is managing the security concerns across the country, the Vice President assured the pastors “we are doing everything that needs to be done.”

“We are handling security well, and as you know, including military deployment in diverse fields, like the Boko Haram in the Northeast.

“In fact, we have to now recruit more into the army, and much faster than we ever did because we need men on the ground; resources also – to buy more arms, to buy more platforms,” the Vice President said.

Prof. Osinbajo describing how serious the Buhari administration considers the task, added that “at the last meeting of the National Security Council that was held on Thursday, we had discussions on how to beef up the military’s platforms. How do we beef up the numbers? How do we recruit more men and women into the army? How do we collaborate more with local vigilante, the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) and all that,”

“So, there is a lot going on in terms of trying to beef up security. The security situation is one that is very challenging. We are also looking at aspects of surveillance – how we can do more aerial surveillance using drones and electronic devices to improve surveillance,” the Vice President noted.

Prof. Osinbajo assured the clergymen that the Federal Government is also committed to finding lasting solutions to the perennial crisis in communities in the North and other parts of the country, including the ones bothering on religious prejudices.

He urged the group as ‘Men of God,” to also come up with ideas and their thoughts on how to find lasting peace.

Earlier in his remark, President of the Forum, Bishop Mbayo Japhet said the group’s visit to the Presidential Villa was to support the administration and the Vice President, describing him as an apostle of peace.

If I may ask what do you expect him to say ,have you forgotten that he's a vice president and not the president, you always want him to talk on any occasion why? I could remember during President Good luck Jonathan ,Nmadi Sambo didn't accused of anything and even no one heard him then ,pls leave the VP to rest

And so?

Did they tell you they are after your happiness?
Re: Open Letter To Prof Osinbajo by Deputy1111(m): 6:40am On Feb 05, 2020
I want to salute you at least for recognizing the fact that he has been working and still working for the progress of this country. But the only error I observed from this your letter is that you never mentioned at least one of the areas you want him to talk, or what he supposed to have done but ignore. Osinbajo has been working, and he is still doing great.

It is sad that after the flurry of the where's the VP HASHTAG, and all that was done to educate the people on the functions of the Vice President which is currently occupied by Professor Osinbajo, people still decide to remain ignoramus.
It's very sad.
Let's all try to Google the constitutional responsibilities of the VP and stop expecting him to be the spokesperson of various ministries
Re: Open Letter To Prof Osinbajo by Ebunoluwa2020(f): 8:41am On Feb 05, 2020
This write up is full of lies and the OP is very bias here, Osinbajo has never been silent or let me say you are the one who need to get updated. The Vice President that i know is a workaholic man who works hard for the betterment of his country. You can follow him on all his social media pages to know more about his daily activities.

The VP can't just speak on issues while the President is on seat. We all just want him to speak, to say something, to react... But, its not possible. We should endeavor to read on his constitutional duties and responsibilities before we put our ignorance into writing.
