Cristiano Ronaldo, the Juventus leading player fully fit for action but missed the Serie A leaders' victory over Brescia after making a request to the manager ahead of upcoming challenging matches
Cristiano Ronaldo has scored in each of his last 10 Serie A matches but did not feature as Juventus win Brescia 2-0 on Sunday afternoon.
The 35-year-old's potentia form this season has seen him a total of 24 goals and three assists in all competitions.

And Portuguese remarked to A Bola report that the reason for Ronaldo's absence was that he asked manager Maurizio Sarri to be rested.
The vital three points sends Juventus back to the top of the league table, since Antonio Conte's Inter Milan couldn’t take the top spot after not able to beat Lazio on Sunday evening - but it seems as though Ronaldo is focused on more than just the Serie A.
A tight schedule of fixtures sees Juventus travel to Lyon for the first leg of their Champions League last 16 game on February 26 before they face Inter Milan on 1 March.
The Italian champions then face AC Milan in the second leg of their Coppa Italia semi-final, with the score currently 1-1 after Ronaldo scored a late goal at San Siro in the first leg.
Despite being rested on Saturday, the former Manchester United and Real Madrid forward has suggested that he remains at the peak of his physical ability and could play for another five seasons.
Earlier this month he told Spanish paper Marca : "Much will depend on what I feel, on my motivation, because physically it will never be a problem.
“I am treating myself well and I think I can play safely up to 40 years.
“The most important factor, honestly, will be more psychological, it will be the one that will make the difference.”
Sarri will be hoping Ronaldo can indeed play for another five seasons and discussed his importance to Juventus after the 3-1 cup win over Roma last month, saying: "Ronaldo is in extraordinary physical and mental condition. He is continuing at an impressive pace and has extraordinary skills.
"He is very well physically. In terms of explosiveness, he is good. He takes great care of the details.
"Ronaldo is a champion. We want to help him win the sixth Ballon d'Or. It would make us all happy."
