Whether the police is wrong or not, the young man lost his life out of his own carelessness and disobedience. If he didn't wear the cap, police won't ever know him except he commits another offence.

Do you really believe he was wearing a military cap?
This story is faulse.
He was driving his car when he was stopped and arrested that he was a yahoo boy.
The police pushed him to the road and an oncoming vehicle cleared him.

Suddenly Nigerian police now have fuel to travel long distance to arrest someone on "tips" that he is using military uniform? Sweet! But when it comes to something serious like arm robbery intervention, happening behind their station, their vehicle won't have any fuel and their guns suddenly will be out of bullets. These guys think we are stupid!

1) who reported to the police that he’s not comfortable with him wearing camouflage?
2) he wasn’t reported at the sagam police station but to Abeokuta station that there jurisdiction doesn’t reach that place.
God will judge you all according to your deeds.

Even if the police story were true (which we know it isn't), the bolded is a loophole in the story.
