Earlier today, I drove to a reputable place on the mainland in Lagos (Name witheld on purpose). When I got to the gate, the security there stopped me and scanned my temperature and for others in the vehicle. While this was going on, I noticed that people who used the walkway went in and out freely, they weren't checked.

Driving in, I noticed that other foot paths into the complex were unmanned, and there was no check going on there either. So obviously, only people in cars were being checked for symptoms of the virus.

Now this got me thinking about the country in general. Nigeria has several land borders through which locals and foreigners commute on a daily basis. What measures is the Government taking to ensure that the Virus is not brought in through these channels

While they are actively checking passengers who come in through the airports, what about our land and sea borders? I hope our case will not be likened to a goal keeper who tries to shield his face from being hit, but leaves his private part unprotected.

checking people's temperature is useless since a person can have the virus and show no symptoms....
