The former Governor of Edo State, Adams Oshiomhole, emerged as the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nigeria, on 23, June 2018 following a voice vote by delegates at the party National convention.

The party had appointed Oshiomhole over allegations that the former National Chairman of the party, John Odigie Oyegun who was also a one-time governor of Edo State was unable to solve the crisis within the party which had at the time was affecting the party.

Asides Oshiomhole's arrogance and braggadocio....
His removal will make the APC stronger.

His fight isn't just with Obaseki,...Obaseki is the face we see. The main people against him are highly-placed.
Their angst is that Oshiomhole's instructions come from Lagos hence 2023 is the centre of this fight.

It will not be wrong to say that the treatment of Ambode escalated it and they were all waiting to bare their fangs.

Edo will be resolved for Obaseki, most likely same in Ondo.
Giadom is from Rivers....the Rivers APC matter will be resolved.

I am indifferent about him. I will miss his comedy, that's all.

...Definitely a catalyst that will quicken up the reaction
