My late mums grave site is over 20years old. Last Xmas I visited the place was covered with sand and grass, you might almost not notice someone was laid there. But my dad and every other relative sees it and sees nothing wrong.


I did nothing because of tongues that might wag and talks considering how people around like to see disunity between step mother and daughter.

But right now, I feel its not proper. So my questions

Should I travel to supervise the cleaning? Or send someone to do it? Is my presence needed?
Is it proper to leave the grave site of a loved one uncared for?
Is there any spiritual meaning attached to cleaning grave sites ?
Do people regard the grave site of the dead?
Will this arouse tension in the family?

Its a gesture to show they are remembered even in death. You can supervise it yourself, ur presence is needed. And may i point out that it depends on your kinda family because in this era of yahooplus. Dont be surprised, if a family member ask you politely or otherwise why exactly are you keeping a gave site clean.
Dem fit begin think say one baba from another planet ask u to do it to make money (remember, this kinda thinking depends on family kind).

But as a guy, i will advise u do it ursef or employ people but whichever way, make sure u r present there.
