I live in oyinbo land and people here are getting instant aid and support by their governments if they need it.

Nigeria has no social security systems in place, which oyinbos have. That is why it seems oyinbo have it easier, NOT because they are better savers. Living paycheck to paycheck is not a Nigerian/African thing. it is a hard-reality-of-life thing for a lot of people all over the world, especially those who were already at their lowest points in society. I even donated something to a local fund here within a group we have for neighbours who need extra assistance, and these are white people.
