Morning guys.
Please i need your input and thoughts into what could be wrong with my Xiaomi Redmi7.
I got the phone last year june. By November last year i discovered the battery was draining very fast and it was becoming bloated. The battery eventually stopped working by January this year.
To cut the story short. I finally was able to replace the battery early this April. And now the phone is acting the same way that it was when the battery was about to go bad. This includes the battery draining from 100 percent to as much as 54 percent from midnight to like 9am. Though the data was on. But i wasn't thinking that data will be draining battery so fast as i have other phones which i use and doesn't drain battery so much even with data on.
Please guys, what do you think could be wrong with this phone?

i use redmi 7 too but i really do not know what to say........... i have been having thoughts about my battery drainage too

Sorry about this.
But did u try to off data over night just to see how d battery will behave with data off.
Did u also check background activities? That also drain battery.

Yes. I have also tried that. The battery still dropped. Most surprising was that during that time,no call nor text came through the phone yet the battery still dropped significantly.

The phone must have had d defect from manufacture.

There is a Xiaomi thread.
Go there and ask for help, you might get one..

Hold on. Did you buy it brand new or fairly used.

If fairly used that may be the reason the initial owner sold it.

If new there should be a 13 months warranty just like Tecno does.

It is a panel issue

If fairly used that may be the reason the initial owner sold it.

If new there should be a 13 months warranty just like Tecno does.

How do I stop or limit background apps. Before one or two apps could be running but this time like 9apps could be running at the background and it kills my battery

Well I can't say about redmi 7 but from the redmi y2, I am using xiaomi phone are awesome with battery, my y2 last a whole day with heavy browsing, and the battery is just 3050 mAh

Check if the phone is cloned. Besides I noticed that trass company are now sharing $ to anyone that are willing to promote their products and bash other products especially Redmi

It's general with redmi7, mine is going through same issue now, I am yet to buy the battery.
