An Investigative media house in North Africa country Egypt has announced that it editor-in-chief Lina Attalah has been arrested by security operative on the government on Sunday while doing her legitimate duty.

Lina was arrested outside Tora prison in Cairo as she was having a scheduled interview with the mother of an activist who is also detained by the government Alaa Abdel Fattah.

This is not the first time the Egyptian government will be clamping down on journalist having different opinion from the government in power. Several Scholars, activist, lawyers etc has been detained without bail condition(s).

Various groups and organisations has appeal to the government to allow freedom of expression and let journalist do their legitimate duties within the jurisdiction of the law but this request hasn't been considered.

"The prison security guards asked Attallah to show her identification card and later called her in for an investigation that lasted three hours, We knew afterwards that she was taken to a police station in Maadi district and that she will appear before the prosecution tomorrow (Monday) morning. The reason behind this arrest is not yet clear" lawyer Hassan al-Azhari told AFP news agency.

Lina Attalah works for Mada Masr which is also been block by the government. This website has produces various information about the system of governance, military, presidency and so more about Egypt.

In a muslim country as Egypt, Libya, etc activists are barely opportune to act base on their right and freedom of speech.

You speak good for the people you will be thrown into the dungeon. You speak ill about the govt you will be executed.

Tyrants will be bloody when they feel threatened. Lets stay alive
