At this point I realized this conversation isn't based on facts but on sentiments and opinions. And it is illogical to argue against anyone's opinion, because each is entitiled to own one no matter how baseless, illogical and unsensual it could be.

But as a matter of fact; you cannot bring Asaba into this context same reason you cannot bring Abuja into an argument of "North is more developed than West". Because Abuja is the capital and thus developed with the collective resources of the Nation, same as Asaba being developed with the collective resources of Delta.

Honestly, you're the one who is being biased here. Asaba was already the biggest and most important town in Anioma land before it was made the state capital and you claim they shouldn't bring it into the fray? Yet you've added Warri that is the second most important oil city in Nigeria after P.H. as part of Urhobo land even when it is owned by as many as three distinct ethnicities?

Even trying to draw parallels with Abuja doesn't make sense because while Abuja was created out of a jungle, Asaba on its own part have existed before the creation of Nigeria.

Nwanyiogwashi my point is proliferation of LGA's is not a yardstick for determining population. Kano Has more local government than Lagos but does that make it more populated than lagos? The southeast has 5 local governments as against the south south with 6. are the miniority tribes of Southsouth more populated than the igbos? For Your informations urhobo territories are not just limited to delta central, urhobos are in warri south also, even asfar as ofoni in bayelsa state. infact, the Deputy Governor Of bayelsa State is an urhoboman. So if you add warri south to the two isoko local government of delta state plus the urhobos in bayelsa, about 12 local goverment. The ediod urhobo-isoko people are the most dominant people inhabiting delta state with an extimated 3million people & we are the 5th largest ethnic group in southern nigeria after the yorubas, igbos, ijaws, ibibio-efik, u have the urhobo-isoko people.

Attached Is the voter strength of local governments in delta state which helps buttress my point
south east 5 LGA

I couldn't go through all the pages of this thread because I didn't like it. It's distasteful without any good objective. When people are too less busy, these are the kind of crap you'll see.

Delta State, has gone through a lot and we know that we are stronger together than divided.

A lot of effort has been made to unite deltans and I think we shouldn't rubbish it.

I can attest to effort by Omatsola Williams and others in putting programs that helped unit deltans. Same for RMD and others. The current government is doing its bit to unite the state and develop the entire State.

Delta State has a lot of fault lines, but also has a lot of strength together.

We have inter married so much, that in my family all ethnic group in Delta State is represented.

Sometimes, we wonder how that happened but that's the reality.

While this thread may be fun to some persons, it can be misunderstood and should not be encouraged.

I will be pleased to visit home, move around the state as I usually do and see even development.

Let's not forget that our state fought a lot of intra and inter ethnic wars especially after the state creation. Some where not even documented but brothers killed brothers. This happened in the three senatorial districts in the state.

Please let's emphasis what binds us together. We need peace, tranquility and progress in Delta
State.

No ethnic group is superior to the other.

God bless us all.

You just exposed of yourself of not been travelled across Delta State.
Uwvie LGA carries 60% of all the developmental landmarks of Delta State. I will name a few and you will tell me their location.
Where is the Petroleum Training Institute located?
Where is the Refinery located?
Where is NNPC located?
Where is the Federal University of Petroleum Resources located?
Where is what is left of Shell located?
Where is the Delta Steel company located?
Where is Chevron Located?

Put a location to these questions, then tell me the Anioma village comparable to the location above.
Again I say; you lack facts and your assertions are based on sentiments. Before Asaba was made capital, what was Asaba known for? Long before the creation of Delta, Sapele was already known Nation wide for her Rubber, Timber, and local gin. Nation wide till date Asaba isn't as popular as Uwvie or even Sapele.

Well, this isn't an issue we Nigerians should be talking about, in the western world, nobody knows Urhobo or itsekiri or Ijaws or Igbos or Hausa or Yoruba, they see all of us as BLACK PEOPLE FROM AFRICA.

I didn't want to comment on this thread because I don't want to seem biased for speaking the truth, but after reading some annoying comments here, I had to force myself.

There are some things I want to make clear, the percentage of Urhobo indigens in Warri is very small, very very small, Warri is owned by the Itsekiris and the Ijaws. Also, in terms of population, Delta Igbos are number one, except you want to add Isoko as part of Urhobo.

My mum is an Isoko woman and most of my friends are Isoko as well and I can tell you with all confidence, Isoko people do not agree that they are part of Urhobo, they prefer to be identified as Isoko and not Urhobo. If you call them Urhobo they'll argue with you.

The Urhobos are loud and generally like to claim ownership, they feel like they are superior to other ethnic groups in the state, they feel like they own the state eventhough they don't really have that much power.

I'll just stop here in other not to appear like a tribal bigot
