The reason you don't sound any good is likely because

1. You gave up on switching Between Chords - This is usually the first problem you run into learning the guitar. I ran into it too, 7 years ago. After managing to learn a few chords then you realize you still have to switch, and quickly in some songs. Life can just tire you. Lol. Maybe you spent days learning only F major chord and in your mind you're ready to switch until you look and your fingers are still on F! Choi...super frustrating.

2. You're sure barre Chords are for experts - This is another chief source of frustration. I used to think I'd never learn Barre chords. I would try and hold down all strings, I could even spend minutes making sure I pressed every string, then by the time I strum, just nonsense...but the goodnews is Barre chords are not always necessary to play all songs but you need to strengthen your fingers and have more sound options, outside the basic chords.

3. You just want to play fast solo and look cool - Kai...it's sweet to listen to skilled guitarists play o. You just wish it was you that everyone is hailing and dancing to. So what you do when you pick up your guitar, is to download plenty YouTube videos and start giving yourself assignment to learn what you don't even understand yet.

4. Simply cramming chords - so you probably have one big book of guitar tabs and chords and you have crammed them top to bottom. Each time you pick up your guitar, your own is to practice holding each of them. Well..the ones you can remember. And you just get tired. 'The chords plenty ehn'. You might even cry and think, 'who give me work like this'. Your hand will just be paining you anyhow. Let us calm down, chords are easy to learn when you apply them to songs. It's really that simple.
