Ehhmm. just to clarify. I'm supposed to write a test there soon, and so like you know, one needs to be informed on these things. I've heard thier salary is not sooo, well not so cool, but they have crazy allowances. How true? If true what are the figures actually? C'mon people help a bro out.

CBN grade levels are few and Sanusi stupendously hijacked d salary of equivalent names(not levels) in banks to pay them.

See below;
1.SS(Snr Supervisor), this is d entry level for graduates. I do not know the current salary.

2. AM(Asst.Mgr), the current salary is between N7m and N8m as Sanusi took industry average.I have a friend in tha grade.

3. Manager, current salary is N10.8m,the same industry average was used.

I know only the above.Mind you,nobody in CBN will tell u that except if you are an insider.The salary they show to RMFAC is quite below by miles,to avoid NASS hammer.
Aside the above,they still make some allowances travelling,depending however,on your unit.

Compare that with a typical long ladder in a typical comemrcial bank.

1. ET=2.8M
2. BE=4.0M
3. BO=5.6M
4. SBO=6.5M
5. AM=7.8M
6. DM=9.3M
7. MGR= 11M
etc,

multiply each step by a minimum of 2 yrs and u can guess how long it will take you to make manager and earn as much as your counetrpart in CBN.

CBN has gratuity and a handsome pension scheme,unlike other banks.
You are unlikely going to be sacked unless for gross indiscipline and fraud.
So why are u wasting time asking questions?
Better go prepare well and get the job.

I actually worked in a bank for a while at entry level so i can relate. Thanks a lot; we make better decisions when we make informed decisions. No wonder most people dont know CBN pay, it seems to be a closely guarded secret.

One thing I've come to realise about some of these jobs is this. Most times, unlike regular bank jobs where you know exactly what to expect - because its all stated in your offer letter - more than half of your renumeration comes in as unstated allowances. I'm just posting this for everyones benefit. Atleast let me psyche myself up

Please anyone who has more certain info enlighten us, you'll be suprised how many people need this info; and i'm not even talking about NASS members:-0)

It aint that bad but this is like, so exaggerated, i cant be wrong dear, just wish you all d best. All i can assure you is thatleaving ur bank for CBN would be worth it but d worth no reach d 'dreams' listed above.

I think You should rush to CBN.

If you are lyk me that wants a variable income life, fresh air and freedom to worry about lyf, I guess you just look for something else. I'm speaking from experience, because I just got out of the Bank after working for just about 4 months.

Why are u stressing yourself? You said this is just a test. Just go and write the test, face the interview (except pay is premised on negotiations) and wait for the offer. Then decide if want to take the offer or not (at least their is an option to reject if its not satisfactory). Its not like you are first job seeker.

The anxiety is not necessary. Don't get yourself confused.

Note that whatever info I gave here isn't a mere NL kind of responding to any issue.I am too sure of it cos I am also interested in CBN with alot of insiders but no 'godfather'.However,I am only interested in experienced level grade and my 'informants' may be unaware if any recruitment at that level is going on,so I must hv missed it.
Nobody in my bank will blink an eye in crossing over to CBN if given an offer.
(Mind you, my bank is among the few very healthy banks).

Visit CBN HQ in Abuja,cross over to the National Church opposite them(that's their car park) and check for yourself the kind of cars parked there.These cars (tear-nylon) became the in-thing in CBN after Sanusi's emergence.My guy even complained that cars belonging to NYSC members serving there should be moved to be parked along the road.

In the long run with all the allowances I bet you ,youll be happy but just calm down those figures arent real
close to real but since you dont collect all in a lump sum,dont be too excited
but one thing i want you to know is that you ll love CBN

@op if you want to live a flexible ,stress -less life unlike most banks
that gives you more time for yourself(depending onyour office) then CBN is for you
