Glo Show Almost Marred By Violence by steezzcom: 7:35pm On Jan 20, 2011
On the 9th of January, Glo brought their show “Lord of the Ribs” to Abuja at Ladi Kwali Hall,

Sheraton Hotels but the show was nearly marred by vionlence.Trouble started when many people

with their tickets were refused entry into show because all the seats in the very large hall

were already taken. Those refused entry included holders of the regular 1,500 naira and the

5,000 naira VIP ticket. The bouncer shoved and pushed the surging crowd to no avail until a

senior staff of Glo had to allow all holders of ticket to go in. Needless to say they all had

to stand through the rest of the show.

Aside that snag, the show was a great one and was worth every naira and time. Basket Mouth

was the host and MC while DJ Jimmy Jatt was the DJ of the day and they both did a fantastic

job keeping the show lively. There was equally great performances by Naeto C, Ndumiso(from

South Africa), I Go Die, I Go Save, Bovi, CD John and many more.

A white comedian with the stage name Nigerian White Man was introduced during the show. The

last act of the night was the Choc Boys (MI, Jesse Jagz and Ice Prince). Unfortunately just

when they were getting into their performance there was a serious technical problem that

affected the microphones they were using. DJ Jimmy Jatt had to resort to playing their CD and

the crowd who were already very high on overdose of jokes sang and danced with them. The show

ended on a high note.
