One of the objective of NYSC is for corps members to live in the host community for a year and champion the cause of the community, Covid-19 is an uncharted territory for us all and I decided to embark on the project after Hazardfan1 enjoined those who are well to do in our society to do whatever they can to help vulnerable individuals in their communities.

After seeing that post I decided to write a new proposal to the State coordinator through my Lgi informing her of my intentions, thereafter I started soliciting funds from people, mostly staffs of Neuropsychiatric hospital Aro, Abeokuta, I used the funds raised to get food items (Rice, Beans and Garri) 100 pieces of 100ml liquid hand sanitizers, 50 facemasks and 5 plastic tap-buckets.

The beneficiaries of the food and facemask project are the Aged, visually impaired and widows in Aro village and Ayodola community.

The Nysc Ogun State's State coordinator Dr Mrs Belinda Faniyi and other NYSC officials were present at the program as well as staffs of the Neuro-psychiatric hospital.
