my problem with your team is Ricardo Gardner @ center-back

Why

Yes he is a natural left back, but he can also play in midfield, so that means he is versatile (Essien at Centre back for Chelsea showed us what every footballer can do if given a chance)

King and Gardner are two strong "Black" Lads and so will not be intimidated, i would have picked Sol Campbell, but right now he is too injury prone and Chimbonda is just a bloody joke to me.

I believe Gardner can be good in Centre if he is placed there, and with his midfield instincts would be quick in recovery in case of danger (just like Kolo Toure of Arsenal, who started off as a Midfielder).

Like i said, footballers are versatile nowadays (Just ask Stevie G ), so i would still trust Gardner in the Middle of defence. (Anyway thats my team sha!!)

My worry remains the same, Zakora on a Bad day is a nightmare waiting to happen But on a good day, he is as good as Essien

Well Lauren and Neville puts pay to that statement on age (basically the whole AC Milan team puts pay to that ) Basically my Defence is built on folks that would stay back and defend, rather than bomb upfront all the time (thats why you didn't see folks like Chimbonda or Babayaro )

If i had to enter the transfer market, definately Berbetov and "Le Sulk" would be my buys

Zamora played virtually every game since Curbishley took charge and he played alongside Tevez in all those games. you make it sound like Tevez was on the only player on that team !
