Amiens and Toulouse were giving a get-out-of-jail-free card by a court in France after their relegation from the Ligue 1 was rescinded earlier today.



The French league was initially suspended after due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Hopes of continuing the league were dashed after the government announced restrictions on sporting gatherings of 5000 or more people until September.

Subsequently, league officials decided to call off the league despite 10 games still left to play.

The final Ligue 1 standing was decided by the number of points each team accrued over 28 games.

PSG were awarded champions of the league while Amiens and Toulouse were relegated from the French Ligue 1.

Lyon were also affected by the points-per-game ratio system as they missed out on the UEFA champions league.
