As this loneliness lingers like memories of my first kiss.
Daily reminding me of what my life has become.
Nights turn my minds into a battle ground
As I fight to subdue those failures that walk shoulder high in my memories.
I sit in solitude trying to stitch together my broken dreams,
And my wakeful eyes trying to see beyond the silent darkness.
My minds tries reaching out to my bag of hope
But it finds a gaping hole at the bag base.
My mind roams like a wanderer searching for an abode
Maybe a place it could call home
But it always return with the bitter Truth,
That there is nowhere for a troubled man to call home.
