You will think that this politicians truly cares about the people but it's a big lie. They kept us at home for 2 months without giving us palliatives from donors. What they rather give to few party members are expired grains seized from smugglers.

Yes

I think it is commonsensical for Lagos not to re-open schools now because of the increase in the number of cases of the disease. Why should they re-open when the virus is still ravaging?

If not for the irresponsibility of our government, the whole country ought to still be in total lockdown.

You sound super naive , we all know by now that the daily cases are being made up , not that the virus does not exist, but not the way urs being portrayed .

Schools should remain closed. We're not ready, yet.

How many people are obeying the guidelines placed after the lock down was eased?

Nose masks? How many people still wear them?

Social distancing? How many people practice that? Just go to the market.

...and some of you are saying schools should be opened for children?

No! We're not ready.
are those ones not going back home to meet their kids...Like explain plsssssss

Thank you. It is what it is. At this point chances of contracting the virus are higher than ever and people think it's merely a touch your nose and mouth virus sad. If it were, we might have had some form of management by now. Schools will only make matters worse in the virus reaching a certain population.

I like your moniker btw

In my own opinion I think schools should be open..,even markets wey no get structure are open not to talk of schools where the guidelines can be enforced...corona is here to stay we just have to live with it...even China is having a resurgence of cases so schools will have to open whether they like it or not
they shut down schools in Beijing again. And if we were serious markets that are high risk in terms of gatherings ought to be shut too but that's another thing.

The major problem we have ain't even the schools but the commercial banks. As long as people continue to cluster at bank gates before entrance then we should expect exponential increase in cases of covid-19.
We have problems in everything. Even hospitals now are becoming points of contract, public parks, people travelling sad

Lagos going back and forth.

Covid-19 is here to stay with us. There is no possible solution in sight for now. We can't continue to ground all sectors.

Preventive measures should be given while people take responsibility for their health.

I guess Nigeria is way ahead of USA, UK and others whose schools are still closed

Firstly, I never said I'm a teacher

Secondly, yes I definitely know and understand dat the lives of our kids are very much important

Thirdly, what has the government put in place to reduce the negative effects that shutdown has caused on the teachers who are seated at home doing nothing. Absolutely nothing if I may say

Fourthly, you talking about diversifying if I may ask you diversifying on doing what without any capital?
Or do you thinking anyone will be willing to lend you any amount of cash at such a time like this?

The government are suppose to provide this for them to start a mini business but hell no all we hear are unending conditions that leads to nothing at the end.

If the government really cares about the well-being of the pupils and students all these things should have definitely been placed in order accordingly.

It's obvious you are living a good life so u really don't know what's going on
I completely agree with you on the failure of our govt to play their role to reduce the harsh effects of the lockdown on teachers and every other business it affects.. I am not just comfortable with even the thoughts of kids being exposed at all until the situation is controlled. Oh and btw I know exactly what is goin on.

School should be the last thing on the minds of the federal and state government, are they going to release the little children that they can't exclusively control to the helm of the virus although people are tired but things can't never be the same again.

The rich advocate for online learning at the detriment of those who cannot afford it. Even within the so-called rich schools, many are owing school fees. Stupid political leaders and poor reasonings.
