The National Association of Resident Doctors today Sunday June 21 announced the suspension of its strike action which will take effect from tomorrow Monday, June 22, 2020.

The body said it reached the decision in order to allow the government have some time to meet up their demands to the organization. This was made possible by an appeal by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum and other stakeholders.

The announcement was made via a communique to its members and was also made available to the public by its President, Dr. Aliyu Sokomba, where he made the announcement to journalists on Sunday in Abuja after its National Executive Council meeting attended by over 300 members.
