Qest Information Systems Limited invites application from interested persons to participate in its TECHNICAL STAFF DEVELOPMENT SCHOLARSHIP.



 
OVERVIEW
This initiative is aimed at producing the much needed technical personnel in the following areas of its Information Technology business undertakings.
§ Microsoft Windows Server 2008 r2 Deployment & Administration
§ Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 Deployment & Administration
§ Linux Server Deployment & Administration
§ VOIP and PBX Server Deployment & Administration.
§ Website Design & Development
§ Networking & Internet Project Management
§ Database Design & Administration
The initiative will be managed through a IT trainee scholarship Programme of the firm whereby applicants/trainees are capacitated through six-month hands-on professional training to become certified IT personnel of the company upon completion of the training course.
The trained persons will serve the company for one year as pay back for the cost of their training in their capacities as technical staff members of the company. Upon completion of their pay back period, each individual on the programme will write the certification exam appropriate to course of choice to become fully qualified as certified professionals.
This programme will enable the company to possess adequate IT technical manpower to manage the company’s numerous internet technologies related and web based businesses while contributing to the development of net worth of each participating individual.

PREREQUISITES
To qualify as an applicant,
1. You must have a minimum of O.N.D in the sciences. B.Sc graduates of computer science, computer engineering, physics, mathematics, graphic designs, graphic art and other pure sciences preferred.
2. You must be able to use computer systems with either windows OS (Xp, Vista, 7) or linux OS (CentOS, Ubunbtu, Fedora)
3. You must be 18 years and above and resident within Lagos Sate.
4. You must have basic understanding of computer file and storage system.
5. You must be ready to take instructions
INTERVIEW
Interview will be conducted to select those with required prerequisites for placement on the scholarship programme.
SHORTLISTING
Only 15 shortlisted candidates will be contacted for interview while 5 will be selected for placement on the programme.
