It is of no doubt that Nigeria is a country blessed with intellectual minds. There is a general belief that all entertainers are school drop outs. Well, Here is a list of Celebrities in the Nigerian entertainment industry that took their education seriously and came out with flying colors.


ADESUA ETOMI WELLINGTON

Adesua is an actor , she's known for her role in various block buster movies such as "falling", "knocking on heavens door", "the wedding party" and many others.

Mrs W obtained a diploma in "physical theatre, musical theatre and performing arts" from

City College Coventry in 2004.

After completing these courses in 2006 with triple distinctions, she went ahead and studied drama and performance at the University of Wolverhampton, graduating with first-class honours . She revealed how tough it was for her and her mum back then in school in terms of finance. She said she knew she just had to do it for her mum . She also added on an interview with her name sake Adesua Oyenokwe "when my friends would go out in the weekends partying I would be in the library". Her hard work really paid off.










KOREDE BELLO

The Mavin Records superstar, Korede Bello is not a new name in the African entertainment industry, his exceptional music talent has earned him numerous awards both locally and internationally.

The singer was said to have graduated alongside 1,340 students, from the Nigerian institute of Journalism situated in Ogba area of Lagos State on Friday, April 20, 2018.The superstar was among the seven students that graduated with distinction in his set. He was part of the 2017/2018 graduating members of the Institute.

Here's what he had to say about this outstanding achievement;

“I am student of journalism and i’m a slave to music. I nursed a dream to become a radio presenter in the past, but music is my passion now. I plan to star in some nollywood movies as i’ve been presented some scripts, which i’m presently considering. But i have just dropped my debut album and i want my people to see me as a musician enough before i veer into movies".






MARIE IWOBI

Sister to the Everton forward player, Alex Iwobi. Marie's studied at the University of Leister and graduated with a first class honours in 2019.

The proud father , Chuka took to his Facebook page and wrote;

"So many reasons to thank the Lord … My Daughter Marie made a First Class in Maths with Actuarial Science . ”








JOY SOLANO

Joy solano is a Sister of Africa's famous record label owner and singer Don Jazzy .

Joy bagged a degree in film and televisions production .

It was made known by the music producer’s dad as he shared the amazing news on his Instagram page, and accompanied it with lovely photos of the celebration

It was captioned;

"We thank God as we witness and celebrate my daughter @joysolano1 on her graduation with a first class BA (Hons.) in film and television production today. To God be the glory".







She lives abroad and is happily married with 4 kids.

OLAKUNLE CHURCHILL'S SISTER

Dr. Olakunle Churchill took to his Instagram page to Congratulate his younger sister for graduating with a 1st class honour from Oxford University . Though he released the pictures, he kept the name of his sister a secret to the public.

Here is the congratulatory message he penned down;

"your unchallengeable intelligence has indeed stoop to conquer in victory. I wish you all the best as you delve into the next phase of your life".

Dr. Olakunle Churchill who is also known as Tonto Dike's Ex was celebrated some time ago as being among the Top Five Entrepreneurs in Nigeria and the Top 100 Most Influential Young Entrepreneurs in West Africa. We all can see greatness runs in the family.

Kizz Daniel would have made it to the list ,the "Jaho" crooner bagged a computer Engineering degree with a CGPA of 4.36 he was only 0.14 less than a first class.
