Good evening Nairalanders!
Please i need your help urgently, Save me from Fcmb Pls......
On Tuesday morning, my Dad sent 1million naira into my account d way he normally used to, as a first son i manage his house project that he is building in Lagos....so for me to log on to my Fcmb Mobile Plus App on that Tuesday to transfer money to some customers we want to buy materials from, found out that i was having payment issue. Getting response like "Failed transaction" I first thought it was network because i do get such response at times whenever their is network issue especially in this raining season. I had to wait for hours same response, following day same response....that moment i knew this shouldn't be network, I need to enter Bank.....so yesterday Thursday, from work I entered bank to explained the issue, the customer service agent told me i need to upgrade my account, that my account has been frozen i was like well fine, but this is not the first time 1m dey enter my account na blaablaablaa....so he asked me to come back the next day which is today with my necessary documents which are NEPA bill which is the main utility bill and my National ID card. So today i got there, he directed me to his expert colleague.....so I passed my documents to her, told me their is no network i should be patient, had to wait for hours, she told me she has done tha, all she was waiting for is confirmation from Abuja that network isn't good, told me to go that i will be notified if successful.....so i left. Me getting home this evening, just for me to check and try the transaction again by logging in to my App only to found out that 1m+ has been removed from my Fcmb acct, seeing 9k as my available balance.......yet to tell my dad this, have informed my mum and sister already. The plan is to go back to bank on Monday and para for them with immediate refund, please house but i am scared if this is the work of their workers, or what do u think i can do to get my refund back? and has anyone experience this before?

Why are you scared?



If the money wired to your account is legit and your father is truly the one that sent the money to you and probably from his hustle or work or load....with evidence...You just have to read on how to sue a Nigerian bank that did illegal withdrawal from your account on Google and sue them....


They don't have that right to withdraw your money without your permission...


Be sure that, the money is legit!!!

Fcmb is having network issues currently. Someone credited my account since 3pm yesterday,I am yet to get the alert as we speak. I believe it will be rectified,if not run enter bank on monday o grin

if might be network issue...
Coz if u reiceved the alert no network issue ll reversed ur money back.. Else the sender lay an issue... and d you received any debit alert,maybe from the bank?..
check ur account transcation

] Yes I received alert via text message and mail, infact I saw my tottal acct balance on the mobile App, I didn't receive derbit alert from the bank...... infact they deducted the 1m with my current available balance. But i want to ask a question, can this be the work of their staffs? Cuz i am suspecting the 2 ladies bcuz they whispered to each other when they saw the money in my acct

Yes I received alert via text message and mail, infact I saw my tottal acct balance on the mobile App, I didn't receive derbit alert from the bank...... infact they deducted the 1m with my current available balance. log in ur FCMB acct on ur phone via their apps... Check ur transaction to be sure..... Check if any money was transfer... Or if ur debited.. just go through ur transaction well,there must be something there

Go to twitter and write them ,,they respond faster on twitter or tell them you will write CBN

Just relax and enter the bank on Monday. Walk up to them and complain, after hearing from them if in the negative, heaven will fall!

Make sure you don't go alone. Find a uniformed police officer, lawyer or a soldier and take him to the bank.

So on the recap, I got to Fcmb bank Agege Branch Lagos.....during the weekend i tried to reach them out accross all d social media but they refused to reply me, untill a friend of mine who is twitter Influencer with huge followers retweeted my tweet and called Fcmb out for my quick attention till they replied my twitter dm. So i explained things to them giving out my details plus attachment screenshot of my previous alert nd current balance, so they told me yesterday afternoon that they've contacted my branch in Lagos, that the issue is solved.....that yesterday when i saw dat message, checked my balance still same amount. So i got to the bank this morning around 7am, given number as usual due to the pandemic.....was given num 4th, was outside. So a call came in start with 01-******7 (Lagos), I picked the call, so the lady introduce her self....my name is ******* am i speaking with Ayo? I replied yes, I am calling u from Fcmb regarding ur acct.....I told her i am at the front of ur bank with my mum, so she said fine that she's coming outside. So she came outside and told us to follow her.....she pleaded for the panic and stress and told me she saw my tweet, i don't even know if Fcmb official sent her dat, I don't even care when she told me dat, na my own money i dey concern......on Friday when the lady told me no network for d upgrading i told her dat day i was stranded nd i need to withdraw, she asked me how much will i be needing i told her 10k, so the lady told us this morning they hide the #1m plus nd left 9.8k so i can withdraw dat....dat nothing is wrong with my account dat my #1m+ is save, immediately she asked me to check my App nd i saw my #1m+ back smiley but I faulted her for not calling me as she promised on Friday, telling her if she had called and explain things this way, i wouldn't have taken dat up so serious at least my mind would be at rest....but she apologize for dat, I tried to do a transaction in her present and it was successful......

My brother, you should have made a scape goat out of her and her cohorts.. you should involve police.. she does not have any right to transact or tamper with your account balance without prior instruction from you. There’s nothing like hiding money in an account.

If you still have evidences of your conversation, write a formal letter to their head office. This is the first time I’m hearing that a bank has an head office in Abuja. Bunch of thieves.
