The education minister, Mallam Adamu Adamu, has meets and also held an important meeting with the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), state commissioners of education, university vice-chancellors and stakeholders on issues surrounding the safe reopening of schools in Nigeria.



The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Sunny Echono, at the inauguration of the governing councils of the 13 new federal universities in Abuja noted that the federal government is working diligently to ensure the safe reopening of schools in the country.



He said the last few days have witnessed very strict meetings by the honorable minister of education and key stakeholders in the education sector. We have held meetings with commissioners of education across the 36 states, vice-chancellors of all universities in the country, separate meetings with our various provost and rectors across the polytechnics and colleges of education.
