If it's not going to get to the teachers, I pray it ends as audio. Most school owners in Nigeria are monsters!

Just because of the FG bailout of private schools, many schools who were not registered under NAPPS have bombarded the association to get themselves registered at the 11th hour. What may happen next will be padding and falsification of data on the number of existing private schools. Once the FG suspects the process, they will just use that as an excuse to suspend or abandone giving out the promised bailout....Due to many private schools shortchanging their staff on salaries even prior to Covid 19, the FG should use this opportunity to set a regularized minimum wage standard for teachers in private schools before releasing any bailout to them. Else greedy proprietors may divert the bailout funds and pay peanuts or even nothing to their teachers.

Good points, but theoretically, every state ministry of education should have accurate records of private schools in their areas of control

Them no go still politicize this one again so?

Until now, what has really been the relevance of the said Association, seeing there there's little to nothing in form of regulations coming from them.

If eventually, the government approves any sum to them, chances are it will only benefit the top members, and the drops that may come down to some of the new members will not even get to their school staff.

Too many paper-efficient policies in Nigeria.

There is diff between politicising and giving the public info on the happenings in governance. Get that bruh

Many private schools owners will now enlist names of ghost teachers; even sacked ones. Will the money even reach the grassroot teachers?

I do not trust this government. With delay tactics and unending excuses, all the private schools will forget the bailout fund. Las Las, the head of the associations will be bribed and then it's June 12

That is your own thought. But as a private school teacher, proprietor have already started collating payrolls and other detail to help disburse the stimulu package for teachers. So that's your own thought

Nothing good can come out of this. Remember the promise that those who had less than 5k in their bank accounts and usually recharge their phone with N100/200 or less will be sent 20k as palliatives, till today, nobody collected a penny from the FG.

As long as they are under the association. The only way FG can realise this, is to work with the the association. Same way for stimulus package design for public transport operators and others. You have to belong to an association to be qualified.

There's a difference between analyzing and trying to discourage a possible outcome based on past events and just gulping info about the happenings in governance.

Try to understand a person's stance, before giving unsolicited education, Bruv.

BTW, listen to your own personal text.

This is really very good from the VP and I know it will work. Teachers have been hit hard since this pandemic and it will be fantastic if this can be realised.

What is hatred in what he stated there? It's like u never worked in a private school in Nigeria to see how inhumane those proprietors have been.Beside, wot has happened in dis country b4 wen it comes to money meant for de benefits of the masses is enough reasons to make any citizen to doubt any government policies expecially as touching financial dealings with the masses. Were u not in dis country wen someone said she has shared#200 billion naira within two days to vulnerable household across the nation as palliative? Yet,no single address of the recipient is given till today n nothing happens to her.So de guy has every right to doubt until he is proven wrong by de FG and de NAPPS leadership. This has nothing to do with hatred.

I no believe this story. Even if it's true it will never get to the teachers. Those above will cut their own first, then the proprietors will also cut before sharing probably 1k to each of their staff. This is Nigeria
the government just want to cause confusion, they will never pay kobo to private schools.

Wow! Good one, As a teacher in Winners International Academy, Agudama, Yenagoa, Bayelsa state, I have been greatly affected by this pandemic. I haven't received a dime since March. Thank God for the intervention of Federal Government on this matter. We are very grateful to Buhari for this awesome development. I can't wait to get paid....someone is dying here

I hope this eventually goes in our favor. Not only did the pandemic disrupt our means of livelihood, the Nigeria system has also played a major role in it. They’ve always downplayed the importance of education. Even the ones that lecture in the tertiary institutions all have the same story.
