and this is an achievement?

In the 21st century, when China is building train track everyday, it's normal over here in China. now they have started the belt and road to build for africa. all track lead to China for stealing our resources.

we are a failed country.

these trains are so expensive the common man cannot use it. from idu railway in Abuja to airport is 2000, just imagine how much Kano to Lagos will cost
It always amuses me whenever I hear people make this "common man cannot afford it" comment. How was the common man traveling prior to the trains?

My dear, trains are not cheap anywhere in the world; they're expensive to operate, expensive to maintain and are always more expensive than road transport in every country I've been to. In the UK for example, inter city trains are even more expensive than flight on several routes....N2000 for that trip you talk about is a massively subsidised amount which already makes the trains an unviable finance draining liability to govt. In Nigeria, do we really want the govt to subsidise everything.

am sure you know where all the bodies are buried in Lagos.........as we all can see the north is even worse in mendacious activity,we are currently exhuming magu's and malami's bodies......Nigeria has no excuse for marginalizing the parts of the nation that actually produces its wealth. case closed

With NDDC, Derivation, Dedicated Ministry etc. and billions of USD down the drain, anyone that claims they're marginalised are only fooling themselves.

They are marginalising themselves by themselves.

Different projects, different funding.

The fact that they are starting a new project doesn't mean the one before won't be completed and commissioned, they are totally unrelated.

With independent funding that has nothing to do with ongoing and practically almost completed project, where is the sense in sitting around waiting to start another project?

What's next?

They shouldn't start any road project, bridge project or any project at all until all the road projects in Nigeria are all completed?

Why are Nigerian youths so shallow like this?

You are the one with a very shallow way of thinking, tell me which project buhari,s government as ever started and completed ever since when he came to power? The only project I can relate to is Abuja railway that Jonathan did up to 90%,just the 10% took him almost 2yrs to complete, we can't be fooled we know their strategy, only a fool will believe them when it come to project execution

We thank God that our ancestors started and completed in less than 4 years the same Lagos Ibadan Railway that your own ancestors left on the drawing board for dead for 13 years.

We also thank God that our ancestors completed in less than 4 years the Warri Itakpe railway that your own ancestors abandoned for 30 years.

We thank God that our ancestors are not like your ancestors.

See? That's where you're wrong!

You think I'm here to drag APC n PDP bullcrap with you?

Fact is PDP short changed you for the number of years they were there, APC right now is still short changing you, Like the ones b4 them did to your ancestors and if you keep up like this, Their Kids will do same to your coming Generation.

So keep it up! Sapz all over the internet for these folks that has kept you in chains even before you were born!

Bye forever!

Africa offended you who refused to know that train stations are necessary to efficiently run passenger services.
Track laying has since been completed while the ten train stations on Lagos-Ibadan rail are being built.

People like you make me weep for the mother land

From what you said above can we conclude that the rail line is 100% complete?

Have you been so brainwashed that you now just lack the ability to comprehend anything??

Is a Rail project complete if it doesn't have the facility to run passanger service like the stations? and don't even come with the cargo bullcrap bec is there a dryport in Ibadan now?

Exactly what I was going to post. Typical Nigerian way of doing things haphazardly!

This is just beautiful.

At the end of the whole project, moving people and goods from Kano - Kaduna - Abuja - Lagos ports will be a piece of cake; decongesting roads, boosting trade, productivity, industry & industrialization. The future is bright for Nigeria.

Kudos to Amaechi & our darling daddy President Buhari.

Nigerians always think one way. Don't worry i will see how it will boost your trade without security. By the time Boko Haram start blowing up the tracks and killing innocent people.

I keep telling people that Buhari is Nigeria's Paul Kagame (of Rwanda).

He has a plan for massive infrastructural development of this country, and it is coming to fruition.

Think before you type. Is selling pure water a job sir?

BH is restricted to the fringes in the North East. Nobody is blowing up any tracks as you wish.

Indeed the railways will be a massive boost for trade, commerce and industry.

Stop saying stuffs you don’t know just because you want to comment. It’s very expensive to maintain railway and how do you expect the government to service the loan they took from China?

Honestly, their ignorance and simple-mindedness is astounding.

A whole Nigeria is the country they are saying should wait till we finish one project before we start another one. Just reasoning like village people. And I'm sure some of them are graduates.

I’m at Aba Alayunre. They are working very hard everyday on the train system in Omi Adio. Please be honest.

The Aba Aremu bridge is almost done and they’re on it daily working.
