The Ogieneni of Uzairue, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Imonikhe Kadiri Omogbai IV, has invested Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki with the Onoshiorena of Uzairue (The One God has Crowned) chieftaincy title, in recognition of the role of God in the affairs of the governor.

Also installed was the Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. Com. Philip Shaibu, who is now the Oshiozekhai (It is God that chooses) of Uzairue Clan in Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State.

The Clan consists of over twenty villages, namely; Jattu, Iyamho (Adams Oshiomhole’s village), Afowa, Elele, Iyamho, Ogbido, Uluoke, Ayaoghena and Ayua.

Others are; Iyuku, Imeke, Afashio, Iyora, Apana, Imonikhe, Yelwa, Ozor, Ikabigbo, Idatto, Ugbenor, Irekpai and Ayogwiri.

The event took place on Thursday during the governor’s visit to the traditional ruler at his palace, as part of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s campaign rally in Edo North Senatorial District.

Oshomole made a mistake by fighting someone who's supposed to be his back bone in the party. Obaseki would have been more useful in his travails before his removal as as chairman. He's not wise at all. if obaseki could deal with him, almost arresting him in spite of his position as a national chairman despite the supports of the power that be, retiring him now from politics would be a walk over. It's so shameful to see etsako Kings openly suppprting obaseki when Oshiomohle is still alive. Etsako is Oshomole's base. They say ize-iyamu is a grassroots politician but I beg to differ. All I hear the same grassroots say is obaseki pepper dem during apc campaigns. What does this mean to a sane being ? I saw obaseki yesterday on Channels tv, trekking into hard-to reach villages and speaking with them. I never believed he could visit warake and irepa of all places. Instead, ize-iyamu and his team were going from one town to another, forgetting the fact villagers' votes dey count wella. They keep saying obaseki didn't do anything but I saw the primary health centre he equipped in warake Village and their roads. This is a place that would take you up to 4 hours to reach from benin.

this is bizarre . You're so wrong on this i'm sorry. The said humiliation was when obaseki visited oba of benin and it was the apc members who did all that after which they started shooting and threw the whole place into pandemonium which the oba and benin people weren't happy about. Many notable Nigerians also condemned the act. Honouring somebody by an oba is different from saying unequivocally that he's endorsing a candidate like oshiomohle's oba did to obaseki. I'm sure If you go to the same oba tomorrow as a political figure, he will also welcome and honour you. Na normal thing.

He asked the court to give the position to Delta State. Vote for a man( ize iyamu) that will have Edo people at heart and will love the nomination of an Edo man
