Mine happened in 2013. Finished my first semester exams though I still have two papers to write but that will be in a week time so I decided to travel to lag without telling a soul. My sis was even in lag but I didn't even tell her. Want to see boyfriend. Day to leave and head back to school came and Bobo said no money for tp(I barely survived the one week, was even ill sef). Had to start sending whatsapp messages to my friends so the can send me some cash. I was able to get the tp, so the plan was I will take a morning bus and my sis was leaving that same day too so I was praying I don't meet her in the park. We got to the park but the morning bus has already left. So the plan was now a night bus and since I don't have enough cash on me, he had to leave me at the park and head back home cos it won't be possible for us to leave together. Spent the whole day at the park, we left around 7pm. Few hours into the journey, we got a tire burst and na for one deserted bush. The driver came down and fixed it, we sha left there after 11. By 6 we were at the outskirts of logical when the the same tire burst again and no more spare. The driver called and was told to wait for the night bus for the day to bring tire. Meanwhile, popci was busy calling to know when I was leaving Zaria to Jos. Last last, na passengers contribute and a tire was bought and fixed by then it was already after 12 in the afternoon. I Sha told popci I was passing through Kd and we had tire issues. Reached Jos around 10pm a journey of 12 hours took more than 24 hours. Popci and my brother were already waiting at the junction to pick me and my sis(she arrived before me). I missed my exams and spent a week on admission in the hospital.
see what prick cuz? grin

2008.
Boarded PH from Onitsha in the evening. Enroute Owerri, we had a bad tyre, every1 got down, while we flashed our phone torch lights, while the driving was changing the tyre. A private car drove past, and we heard a gunshot, every1 ran inside the Bush. Few mins later, we came back to fix it, and argument ensued whether to continue or go back. We later went back, but told the policemen along the road what happened. We slept at the nearby bus park, and continued next morning. Only to confirm from the policemen that the car that drove by was shot at, and the driver died.
MY BUS COULD HAVE BEEN THE VICTIM, WHO KNOWS?

2019
Before Patani bridge(Delta), while coming from Ughelli, my car swerved off the road (though we had a wet weather, and the driver wasn't on high speed at all), we nearly tumbled into a very deep ditch. It was just God. Vehicles stopped to pull the car out, only to realise that many lives have wasted on that same spot. We were told by passersby to give testimonies when we get home.

Oboy see as the epilepsy start with him, my heart had left me, as the men beside him were trying to press brake and park he was pressing accelerator unconsciously.

Mine was during service year in Edo State.

It was a rainy day. Got stuck in Benin and was traveling to Afuze. After the rain stopped, the road was flooded and had to wade in through the water to one popular park (Ramat park or something) to take a bus to Auchi onward Afuze. The bus got filled around 9pm.

Reached Auchi around 12am midnight and I didn't know a single soul. Where will I sleep? One co-traveler, a student, notice my dilemma and offered me his place around an area called Water Board. We trekked for about 30 mins to reach his hostel. On entering his room we met many people there smoking confirmed weed and drinking hard drinks. Cultists probably.

They left for God know where around 1am.

Was offered a bed to sleep but who wan sleep inside a smoke-filled room? Was just praying the police wouldnt choose that night to raid that hostel.
eeh yah,u should have used owan east at mission road,it's direct to afz, even on a busy day,dat park at Ramat going to AUCHI takes about two to three hours to load just one trip, fastest to AUCHI is afenmai at first Junction...

Mine was in 2008 and I was on a night journey from kaduna to abia for my nysc.I took a young shall grow bus with my cousin who was posted to the same abia and just as we got to one area filled with mountains along lokoja buses began packing on the road so ours packed also and our driver and his assistant began speaking in Igbo and they even brought out a mat to sleep beside the bus feeling comfortable like they were used to that kind of situation.I wasnt tho so I was curious to know what was going on alongside others that boarded the same bus as me so we decided take a walk to confirm from other buses what was going on in front and lo and behold it was a Peugeot j5 and a bus collision and both drivers were at logger heads trading blames and refusing to leave the road at least. After much begging from drivers they agreed to leave the road and almost immediately a hausa bus conductor screamed " an bude Hanya " meaning they have opened the road and running towards his driver and we that understood were running to our bus , those that didn't go with us to see what was happening in front heard and saw him screaming that and didn't understand what he meant and immediately took to their heels into the nearby bushes ....Come see slippers everywhere I lost my fone while I was running to find my bus .. Omo!!!when we approached Abia state one babe discovered she ran into the wrong young shall grow bus!! She was supposed to be on a Anambra bus ..

Well, mine is one of my unforgettable experience.
I had gone to a local town in Kwara state called Oro Ago to resit for my WAEC in 2014. I exhausted all my money over the course of the exam which lasted for over a month and I had to cash call my sister to send me a little money to transport myself back to my town(Ado Ekiti).
Sis sent the money to me then but the issue was there wasn't any bank in the whole of the village, Infact the only place I could see anything like ATM is at landmark University at Omu Aran which was abt 1 hr drive from where I was then.
There was nothing like using POS as well so I had no choice than to embark on the risky journey. I left Oro Ago in the morning with the last cash with me which was #500, the exact Tfare from Oro ago to Omu aran with the hope of using ATM machine at landmark University but to my utmost disappointment I was denied entry at landmark, I pleaded and begged and cried but the security guys wouldn't Burge, I left there disappointed when they threatened to lock me up.
I was at a crossroad, what do I do?.. I can't go back to where I was coming from, the only place I could get an ATM was at Otun Ekiti. How do I get there?
I had to start begging bike men if they could take me there so I can use the ATM and pay and from there, take a cab to Ado Ekiti.
I spent almost 1hr begging the bike men as no one wants to undertake the risky journey. There were soldiers on the road and at least 2 road blocks mounted by the police. They were scared of #1- the risk, #2- extortion from police men, #3- the return journey which might be fruitless for them as they might not get anyone to transport back then #4- the distance( up to an hr as well).
After abt an hr of parabulating, a blessed Okada man who will never know troubles in his life agreed to take me to Otun Ekiti.
What makes the journey so risky for me was that, my aunt claimed to send me the money but I didn't see any alert at all and I didn't know how to check out my Bal on my phone then.
To cut the short story long, I boarded the bike, the bike man paid the soldiers #200, the police men #100 at each road block.
I got to Otun around 4pm and used, I think I was first bank ATM or so, fortunately for me, there was 3k there.. I paid the bike man the agreed #1500 and used the rest to transport myself to my destination.
It was a journey I can never forget and whenever I think of it.. I cannot help but pray for the bike man in my mind. I don't have his contact, May God continue to bless him for me whenever he is.
His children too will see help from every angle.

Along Lagos-Ibadan expressway, our bus had a fuel leakage. We got to a place & the roadside hawkers started shouting, " petrol! petrol! petrol!". The driver stopped the bus & all passengers started shouting at the driver to leave his seat & open the door so that all can get down quickly. When we noticed he was reluctant to open the door, the guys in the bus started fleeing through the windows. While struggling to get out, I had a tear in my jean trousergrin. When I was looking at the tear, people said I shouldn't bother about that, what matters is life.

Same experience as mine on our way to ijebu ode that hot afternoon grin grin come see as people dey fly ontop eachother

Kudos to the past and present Anambra state government and also the present governor of Ebonyi. I dont know which have d best road in Nigeria between the two state
