Good day to you all. I am a 21 year old male. I have a personal problem that I feel is ruining my life and I think your opinions would help me out.

I am a kind of person who grew up in a sheltered environment. I never had friends or any experiences. So i naturally became an antisocial person. Fast forward to 3 years ago I got admitted into a federal university.

My experiences were not so great. I constantly get criticism and disrespect from my only friend and a few of my coursemates. I keep getting tagged as a person who is not smart. Even my parents at home are constantly complaining about my lack of initiative and dependent brain. I'm always incapable of making smart decisions and keep getting deceived and cheated in many ways.

My only friend is the person who treats me the worse. It kept going on until my roommates in school actually scolded him for his attitude despite him remarking that it's due to my asking of jamb questions. I wanted renting an apartment with him off campus but he wasn't serious about it. So I decided to stay in the hostel when school resumes.

I have decided to end the relationship with him and focus on working on myself. I get good grades (Finished last semester 100 level with 4.74) and his grades dropped from 3.4 to 3.0 last semester. I don't know why I keep getting disrespect. He keeps mocking me that the only thing I know is to eat,read and sleep.

What should I do in this situation?

Bro, mine is similar to yours, I'm 22year old and in school the few friends I have do complain that I don't socialize often and till now I haven't attended any award night/ Club in school ...

But Sha that one no dey disturb me, na money I dey find .
P.S. it's cool to have a good social life tho

you have to first believe you are capable of making great decisions. your family history is open to be rewritten by a great guy like you. you don't need anyone appraisal to know that you are great.
