Straight to the point, a grandma needs a car. Grandma is a pensioner and drives herself with some drama of course. grin

It is really tricky as she wants something spacious with a big trunk, but portable. Don’t you just love Africa mothers? How does that work.lipsrsealed

Preferably Japanese and TOYOTA.

Something not so sophisticated as she doesn’t want to deal with a clustered dashboard. However, it should be beautiful as we don’t want it to be ugly either.

It would be fine if she can handle petty repairs without saying the car that was bought for her is spoiled. cheesy cheesy cheesy

I’ll appreciate your inputs as all my suggestions have been dismissed as too big, too high or too sophisticated... I want a balance, where she likes the car and is happy.

Cc: Heavenlybang, Nurey

My suggestions were ES 300/330, RX 300/330 and Rav4, all 04-08. There was also a suggestion of Big Daddy, which I dismissed as big for nothing.

Thanks

Toyota Matrix. It is neither a sedan or an SUV. It is balanced on the ground, easy to use and will be just right for Grandma

She can get an RX330 or ES 330. They're decent and comfortable. Avoid that rav4.

And also avoid that man up there screaming Honda element pls.

Just asking, when was the last time you saw a honda Element for sale anywhere?

As a matter of fact, when was the last time you saw any Honda Element anywhere? Abi you want mama to go spare part hunting in Ladipo?

@OP, Kingreign is right about the ES 330. It's essentially a gussied up Camry, checks all the boxes you mentioned.

There's also the matrix of course, if you decide against a V6.

Lol. Thanks for your suggestion. Everything here (minus the Element) is what I have suggested so far. Not surprising it is being reiterated here.

Okay, would avoid the Rav4. grin

I suggest an end of discussion. The trunk is big plus if it is not big enough for her she can drop down the back seat and put as many items as she wants .

The big trunk matter tire me sef. What is she buying? Not like she is into haulage. Same thing I said o. She has the trunk and the whole back seat to herself.

I don’t want Honda sha, let alone EOD with its stereotyped ball-joint issue in some series.

Some of us are just wired differently. if you hate the element, you did probably hate the Toyota FJ cruiser.

But in all the element is a reliable vehicle if you can look pass the boxy shape

FJ cruiser is a very cool masculine truck. It also has heritage and pedigree. It made to pay homage to Toyota land cruiser's humble beginnings especially the BJ 40 truck.
Now, what pedigree and heritage does that piece of śhytè called the Element abi na atom has? What does it pay tribute to?
