I was a lecturer in a federal university in the South East for some time.. In that university forcing a student to even buy a text book would earn you a suspension or a sack not to talk of bigger offenses. Lecturers were sacked like bank workers.

Every Nigerian University is not the same bro. In my former workplace many lecturers were sacked courtesy of anonymous petitions written by fellow lecturers or students. Nigerians would normally be of good behavior when they know the law is working, trust me.. The problem is that in most universities, lecturers believe they are untouchable.
