Delta State Government has confirmed that academic activities will return to tertiary institutions across the state on October 2, 2020, immediately after independence day, following months of closure to contain the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Campus Catch NG earlier reported that an official from the government had revealed that tertiary institutions in the state may resume on September 21 tentatively.

But in an interview with journalists today, the State Commissioner for Higher Education, Prof. Patrick Muoboghare, explained that the state owned higher institutions will resume from October 2 in phases in conformity with the new protocols in respect of the COVID-19 outbreak in the country.
