Attually oga edo people vote for individuals not party, suppose the relationship between oshiomole and obaseki was stable, obaseki in apc , ize iyamu in pdp , in this election apc would have won this election without any struggle!!!! Am edo man and I know my people very well
manuelreports:
The man tried
Iyamu is a fool. Instead of staying put in PDP he already have a strong hold and either cash out heavily from Obaseki or even contest under the party and possibly emerge the winner he decamped to APC banking on Oshio's Influence and federal sure forgetting that Anna Kyari was instrumental to all the Federal might that was witnessed in previous election. That man is not intelligent and unfit to hold any elective position. He is too unstable and lacks confidence as a man.

Cabal won this election, not obaseki. If you know, you know. Oshiomole has bite more than he can chew. Those cabal are dangerous so losing edo to weaken the powers and influences of both tinubu and oshiomole is their main ploy. Fear dem...
You truelly understood the underground game played by those guys in Abuja

Your assertion is not true one bit. Philip couldn't have contested because he from Edo North and it is the turn of Edo south. More so, they have the highest voting population.

THIS IS MY HERO IN EDO STATE ELECTION

In anything you do in life, look for loyal men. When you are drowning they will stretch to save you. When the storms starts, they will cover you. When they are made offers to betray, their conscience wont allow them.

This man in the picture is Obaseki's deputy. Comrade Philip Shaibu. Before Ize Iyamu was approached to decamp from PDP to APC to run the APC ticket. The offer was first made to Shaibu. He would have been the man challenging Obaseki today if he accepted Oshiomole's offer. Shaibu said I cannot betray my boss Obaseki.

He said him and Oshiomole have suffered oppression in their struggle for democracy and he wont dish out oppression to another man. He remained with Obaseki despite the pressure. Few weeks ago. The press man interviewing him asked him. What if you lose the election? He said he will rather lose honourably than betray his boss. He said he wont support the oppression of Obaseki.

This comrade is a force in Edo State politics. Oshiomole fears him in rural politics. He was instrumental to Oshiomole all through his campaigns and tenure. He has stayed with Obaseki and refused decamping. He was silent all through the heat of this election working dangerously underground. Their efforts were cemented with U.S and UK visa ban which weakened the planned usual federal might Oshiomole was banking on.

Comrade Shuaibu represents the man I will like to be to any politician I chose to support. Loyal men are rare. If you find one like Shaibu, hold him dearly. Well done to Shaibu. Congratulations to him and Obaseki.

I had to quote you because it seems you are among people here with correct screwed head. Nigerians commentators and their penchance for stupidity, why are people attributing non use of federal might to US sanction instead of Buhari that's sympathetic to Obaseki? Is it today that US have started banning Nigerian politician from US? To be sincere I don't think the likes of Tinubu, Ganduje etc have plans to enter US in sacrifice to their ambition.. Please let's call a spade a spade Buhari was sympathetic to Obaseki simple! All these people calling US won't be no where now if Buhari decides to do court abracadabra.. Loll. I am not a Buhari fan but I still reiterate he maintained neutrality because of Obaseki. Let's watch out for Ondo election.

For ondo, i think apc will win, to maintain relevance, Tinubu will make sure to go length and breadth to keep his power in this state. If he loses Ondo state that is the end of his dominace, he will be relegated to a local politician

I know Phillips from his youthful days when he was at Unijos.
I played football with him in Kubwa, Abuja when he's on vacation. I can vouch he was a very friendly subject to be with. Someone with human spirit.

He can be very arrogant to injustice and dictatorship. Someone that believes in freedom and good governance. He's still what he used to be kiss

Buhari will rather cede 2023 to PDP who will field a northerner (Fulani) than to allow Tinubu take power.

I predicted this the moment Oshiomole was successfully ousted out as party chairman and Buhari did nothing but backed Gaidom.
I said that day either with this Monika or my friend's own that Oshiomole will never enjoy federal might because buhari has hand in his ousting.
wait how do you think those that wanted him out will grant him federal might which will help him win and probably restart his fading career?
all those support during campaign are just fake and deceit to make him loose guard.
they wanted to finish him kpatakpata
though he's not the target their main target is Tinubu.
mark my word 2023 it's either buhari picks his preferred candidate from the south which is definitely not Tinubu or Osinbajo
or he'll allow Tinubu and his clique have their way and collapse cpc structure with pdp that will field a Fulani.

Let me tell you one thing about buhari
he doesn't care about APC as a party he only sees them as a useful Ediots and platform in which he came to power.
Buhari is a core pro Fulani expansionist and dominance that's why he's a god in the north.

Very apt.. you said it all.

I totally disagree with u sir. Any sane person would gladly accept d offer of a gubernatorial candidate being denied an incumbent especially when same party is at the helm of affairs at the Federal level and with Oshiopikin as d chair then, it's just that God's will and the people's will prevailed over nepotism and godfatherism. It's just what is meant to be. Even if POI remained in PDP and GGO moved to YPP or APGa, Ize Iyamu wouldn't still win

brother you no lie at all.
That aboki in aso rock is sabotaging APC on purpose so as northerns can field in and vote PDP because he knows that APC will definitely want to field a SW in 2023.

Aboki are really bad
I hope SW and the rest of the south learn from this and get their heads together. Because if they succeed na south go lose.

*_I am so shocked to see that some People including myself Expected APC to Win the Edo State Governorship Election when all the APC Governors, Party Caretaker Leadership Ministers lead by Rotimi Ameachi and the Dr Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State have Contributed #Billions of Nigeria and gave to Governor Godwin Obaseki as part of their Support to him (a PDP Man)?_*

How can people call themselves APC Members then choose to Support PDP because of 2023 Presidential Inordinate Ambition?
The raw truth is that His Excellency Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinibu is their Parochial and Selfish Target.

I have Personally been to Edo State few times before the Election and I confirmed that Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu is so much on Ground Politically to defeat Governor Obaseki, but what would you do in this Case where apart from Governor Ganduje of Kano State, no other APC Governor gave Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu any form of Support including not attending Campaign Rally in Edo State.

For me, one thing is sure, *"Man Propose, God Dispose"* all the People Planning and Strategizing today must not forget that Power comes from God and HE gives to who ever HE chooses to give to.

Today, all of the Buccaneers are together to Fight Comrade Adams Oshiomhole and Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinibu, but can never tell what would become of them tomorrow.

Rt Hon Rotimi Ameachi and Co has planted their stooges and Cabals across APC in Nigeria in Preparation for their Inordinate Ambition including Planting a PDP Member Sen Matthew Mbu as the Acting Chairman of APC CRS which they have failed from the Beginning.

*As Foundation Members of APC CRS, we would resist any form of Intimidation, Imposition and Overbearing Influence of some Greedy and Desperate People to destroy our Beloved Party for us.*

*It is the same Rt Hon Rotimi Ameachi that caused Cross River State Victory in 2019 when he collected Money from Ben Ayade to betray all the APC Candidates so as to prove a Perfidious and Callous Political Points.........*

*Let's all watch and see how the Games Progresses in Future*..

*PRESIDENT MUHAMMADU BUHARI IS ALSO OUR MAJOR PROBLEM*....

Rubbish insinuation.

While I commend Shuaibu for his loyalty, the truth is, he would have suffered a worse fate than Ize-Iyamu if he had allowed greed take over him. The flogging would have been worse.

Edo people voted and had their votes count. Why attribute the winning to one man whose LGA wasn't even in the reckoning?
and what do you think will happen now that he stays?

Buhari is supporting Goodluck Jonathan in 2023. Don't be shocked, 2023 is around the corner. I first heard it from a Ghanaian diplomat in March and then I heard it again in August from a Nigerian diplomat. No much cap fa, Buhari won't hand over Nigeria to Tinubu or any of his boys that are loyal to him. Osinbajo would have been a candidate but his affiliation with Timing makes him a goner
