@tpia! @ shotstar50 Isn't it a shame that we have to consult 'wiki' or some other foreign source to 'approve' , 'confirm' and 'justify' our history and cultural names etc. It's obvious that 'Onitsha', 'Asaba', Benin etc were all anglicised forms of the 'native' names- Onicha, Ahaba and Bini etc. There's so much unfinished ![]() |

^^i'm not igbo but i think most people are aware of these things, though i could be wrong. the benin name- is that actually a corruption because i do wonder why we have so many birnin- somethings in the north. could be coincidental i guess, |
