A young was brutally assaulted by a police officer in Dopemu, Lagos today. According to the lady Inspector Lawal Murtala of the Dopemu division Lagos, Nigeria, beat me her up because she recorded a video of him beating up an innocent man.

Young lady brutally assaulted by Police officer in Lagos (Video) Lailasnews

The young lady was later detained for hours after her phone was smashed and sized.

Read how the incident happened and watch the video of the assault below;

” Inspector Lawal Murtala of the Dopemu division Lagos, Nigeria, beat me up today just because i recorded him beating up an innocent man and was dragged to the police station.

I was detained for hours, and the video forcefully deleted of which unknowing to them, i had already forwarded one successfully to my sister via WhatsApp.

Then my phone was smashed and seized. Imagine going to report an assault by a policeman and i get detained instead saying a policeman can do whatever he likes and that videoing a policeman is an offence.

The dpo , a woman was in full support of the policeman, ordered that i get detained saying i wanted to video to post and she will not let that happen. I was detained from 2pm till 7pm. This is INJUSTICE !!!

The police who should protect us are the ones victimising is and this should change. It is not just fair. We all should say no to police brutality.” Bibi Anne’

Why will you record someone else without their consent? That's extremely provocative.
If you have to record a policeman, make sure you are not caught otherwise the outcome is what you are seeing here.

you are very funny. Pls it is not an offence to video a crime or human right abuse.

Please change your circle of friends, get some education and travel outside your comfortable zone of Nigeria to other countries pls leave the north America and western Europe if you cant afford it. A trip to UAE or Kenya should help you with a return ticket under 200k.

That should be enough to help your exposure at the very least.

I wont join words with you because obviously you are s low life.

Are you a public servant so why should she video you? NO

Is a policeman a public servant ? Yes

Can a citizen record a crime scene ? YES

As a private citizen she cant record you because of privacy reason but she has the right to record you if you are committing a crime.

Pls use your senses if I have been to at least 15 countries and travel agents in this group can easily confirm if the return ticket prices I stated where right or wrong. An ordinary visit out of your shell will make you have a better orientation about life and stop hiding behind a keyboard.
