A lot of pple especially the youth believed that the only solution to their problem is to try at all cost to travel out of Nigeria, despite the assault at the embassies, some go thru the desert all in the name of trying to travel.

Are you sure that is the solution?

It's not about Nigeria.
It's about the prophecy of old foretold.

Yeah. Success is 90 percent your environment. 10 percent your personal effort. If you have the opportunity to japa from Nigeria to a country that offers relentless opportunities do not look back.

The truth is that for an average Nigerian, being in Nigeria is just going through " a rat race", if you have the opportunity travel out, please, do it on time.
Unless you have a good paying job or a successful business here in Nigeria.
Nigeria is becoming difficult everyday, a bag of local rice 29k, minimum wage 18k, How do one survive?. It's well.

please its not well. I hate that phrase when everyone laments how things are getting out of hand they summarize it with its well. How Is that well? When people in Canada and Germany, Luxembourg and USA, are saying it's well you in Nigeria not spending up to one dollar per day to eat is also saying it's well what the f"ck. You people have also abused the world "well" among other list of things you have corrupted in the world. Spits

I will never discourage anyone from migrating because not everyone's destiny lies in Nigeria obviously. My only advise is be realistic when it comes to your traveling plans. Migrating LEGALLY is expensive and it does take some time to get your "papers."

Don't travel abroad if you know you or your family sponsoring you don't have sufficient funds to sustain you till you become settled into your new adopted country. I say this because oftentimes when Nigerian youths fall on financial hard times overseas, some start to engage in criminal behavior like online scamming or drug trafficking thereby tarnishing our image as Nigerians further.

Lastly, always do some extensive research on the country you intend on going. If it is a white country be sure it is relatively safe for Africans. Racism is real and yes, white supremacists will not think twice about taking your life because they see you as a lesser human being. They don't care that you might be enamored by them or look up to them for whatever reason you might have. When they look at you, all they see is your color and nothing else.

Additionally, if you decide to migrate to an African country, be very careful as well. Many Africans are extremely hateful towards Nigerians in particular. The hatred the Black African carries in his/her heart towards other fellow Africans of other tribes or nationalities is just as dangerous and I dare say deadly as that of a white supremacist. So be careful. Just because someone shares your skin color and phenotype, in other words physical features does not automatically mean that they will like you. So beware of that when considering African nations or even black nations outside Africa.

On a side note, I am not convinced that Nigeria will get better if we don't at least practice regionalism and if we keep recycling the same outdated corrupt leaders. Change can only happen when we as a people begin to do things differently. Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result is the very definition of insanity.

It depends on the individual and their circumstances.

You can argue that some people are lazy, and going abroad won't do much for them.

You can argue that some people are doing everything right, and they just need an opportunity to get ahead.

You can argue that some people will only be able to progress by leaving.

You can also argue that foreigners from all over the world get rich in Nigeria. Very rich. And there's nothing remarkable about these people or what they do.
