So far only Southern Nigerians are protesting against police brutality. Nothing is happening in the North. Why is that? Because Nigeria's entire security system is headed by fulanis. To them Southerners are second class citizens. Hence the constant massacre of Southerners by buhari's fulani security militia as against North, a haven for terrorism and cold blood murderers.
We need to send these savages back to futajalon.

na nonsense talk...all the south operatives where are they from...aren't they southerners... SARS doesn't disturb in the North because of how their society is and they( the northern folks) won't allow anyone harrass anyone openly

The fact is simple..very soon army will be deployed to those protesting in Aba. Igbo people are skeptical to protest because our own is always unique.....

You might protest in Lagos and Ogun but when you do the same thing in Anambra or Abia, its a different ball game

This is trash bro,
Any small thing, you will come with this your propaganda nonsense. Was it BUHARI that created them, mind you they are decentralized they Dont receive orders directly from BUHARI, they have mandate given to them as their name implies.
I saw it coming everybody will come with different shit abt the protest, my advise is that govt should heed to what these people are asking for before it gets blown up to their faces cause that was how Arab spring revolution started.
People brutalising southern youths are southerners, they are also protesting in Abj, Kaduna... so many people want to change the modus oprandi of the protest, that was how Sowore was trying to make it abt his personal revolution today. nonsense.

Reform SARS and entire Nigerian forces but not end it
If you have a wild animal like a lion or tiger or bear that enters the human areas, if it doesn't kill anybody, do you know what the wildlife experts do? They will capture and relocate it back into the jungle, deep deep inside, so it won't wander back again easily. But if the wild lion, tiger or bear etc kills and/or eats a human, do you know what the wildlife experts will do? They will capture it and KILL IT immediately. Do you know why? Because once it has tasted human blood, there's no going back. It will start hunting people to eat.

Same way, this SARS police unit have gone beyond reform and gone to a dark place and there's no going back. They have gone rogue as a unit, it has become part of their system. The govt didn't tackle this issue on time and those guys see themselves as wild cards, as above the law, as a force of impunity. You can't reform them again. They will go back to their vomit and illegalities in a very short time. Go and read about how Germany dealt with the Gestapo units. They got the army's special forces involved and rounded up all the Gestapo officers and their heads. The Govt (Presidency + IGP) needs to disband the unit completely, and investigate them, and all officers found wanting of extrajudicial killings, illegal tortures, public extortion and indiscriminate assaults, must be prosecuted and punished by the law. Those guilty of murder should be sentenced to public execution, and stripped off all entitlements.

The Govt needs to make a serious example of them, so that it will serve as a deterrent to any other unit or agency that wants to tow that path and turn themselves to Gestapo killer units. After this is done, then the Govt can now set up a new anti-robbery unit and assemble a fresh team from newly trained officers in anti-robbery operations. Then roll out their reform agenda for the operational guidelines and rules of engagement with the public. Problem solved!

Buhari na mumu person...
Adamu (IGP) is a mumu too...
FG generally is a compound mumu cabal.

let every branch of NPF know its responsibility.

SARS is special anti robbery squad - let them go and be facing robbery. SARS officials should not be seen on the road patrolling. make dem dey stationed at their respective quarters and only come out when called for robbery cases.

Are you not a Nigerian? What's the shock about cos 90% of city dwellers are aware of the excesses of SARS!

Policing is not the issue, it's illegal harassment and police brutality... No country can survive without an active police force but majority of the cowards called police men use their uniforms and AK47 to harass young men both legit and illegit and obtain money from them. Lives have also been lost.

Be careful to do ur research before commenting so people don't curse you on this issue.

Abeg stop that.

While it may be true that northerners dominate, the truth is, most of those perpetrating the brutality are usually of southern extraction.

But don't take my word, search youtube for videos on sars brutality, and i can bet you that 7 out of ten cases will be a southern officer. Heck in most cases the officer is speaking the same language as the unfortunate citizen!

Moreover in which region are you likely to see a a young lad with no source of income, yet spotting an iphone, saggy pants and dreads? So there you have it.

FYI, not supporting the brutality by any means, but please let's be factual in our analysis.

Watch and see how this will be rebranded to secessionists protest and also see how peaceful the soldiers in the checkpoints at every 10meters in Igboland will be with them.
This is a case of kids succumbing to peer pressure and media influence. They joined this poorly planned protest because of trends they saw on Twitter. I pity their parents, South East is not like other parts of Nigeria where few soldiers are seen on the street. Down here every 10 meters is barricaded with machine guns by soldiers as if their is civil war, and those soldiers won't think twice before testing those machine guns on these kids

What were y'all looking at till your elected politicians allowed your region to be militarised?

Y'all are lazy cowards, including your politicians.

Shaev7:
To my own understanding, SARS have never foiled or even intercepted major robbery I have witnessed or even be at the scenes. MOPOL always pays the ultimate price. I have been in the scene of bank robbery, it wasn't funny, it was Military that came to our rescue. This SARS are busy making money by extorting people unjustly. I have never heard of any sane society where police will have your phones and laptops checked without due warrant or order. This country is just a nation without working institution. SARS has harassed me just August this year at Warri-Sapele Road for nothing. Demanding my phone and searching my bag like the military did when I entered NYSC camp the first day. But it didn't go worse from there probably I was Lucky. Those guys in uniforms are exconvicts and are legally armed and killing people without any remorse or queries by the right authorities. SARS has shot a friend I know for a reason with phone, they should be reformed, they have never come to the rescue of neighborhood facing robbery, rather military or MOPOL will try. I really detest those officers called SARS. I'll rather meet an armed robber that will steal from me and go, than have a SARS Officer on the road searching my phone and bag for nothing and still threatening to shoot me if I don't transfer money to him. There are ways to curb cyber crimes, not these

You know in Nigeria, once the southeast is involved it's a different ball game, the FG is ready to empty the whole barracks onto our streets while being reasonable to other zones. I pray it doesn't come to that.
