I finished university at age 19
I don't think I was rushed, it just happened naturally, I was the best in my classes and thus the need to promote me, and when I registered for primary school exam, I passed more than all my seniors, so parents just allowed me to go to JSS1
I will be clocking 24 soon and yet, no Job even after finishing both Undergraduate and post graduate at 22. Not just graduating but graduating as the best student in both, what if I was still in 300level? Or I'm just graduating with a second class lower at age 24? It means I would never find a job in Nigeria.
Well, I don't hope getting any Job anymore, I have passed that age, I have bigger dreams now, very big ones.
I just look at my classmates but can't help pitying them, especially those doing their PHD already, they have no hope, no single hope

Useless country called Nigeria

Your course of study matters a lot this days.
Courses like history, public administration, soil science, Aquaculture, biochemistry, mass communication, sociology, Anthropology, psychology, philosophy, industrial physics, botany, English & literary studies, business administration, banking & finance (except you're ICAN or CIPM certified), Agric education ,Geography & regional planning, religious studies, Education courses generally and to some extent Law ( except you are extremely brilliant with good grades ) are very useless in this present day Nigeria and their supply outweighs demand.

That is the mentality of typical Lagosians. The parents compete among themselves on whose son/ daughter graduate first from school. Some parents pay no attention to the intellectual ability or capabilities of their children in School. As a tutor in a primary school in Lagos, I have had numerous encounters with parents who always insisted that their children must be placed in a class contrary to the children's performance

Its a status symbol, whose son graduate first, whose gets admission first, their is also peer pressure amongst parent reasons they would push you so they are not laughing stock amongst their clique of friends

Something is wrong. You cannot be best in your class and graduate at 19-20 and not get a good job. Aunty don't lie. Access bank recruited every year from 2014-2019, fbn 2016 to 2018...same with kpmg, PWC deloitte, Unilever etc..were you not applying? It is either you are lying or not smart. They just used that as an excuse. Banks are useless. If u were 24 at that time. U still wont get the job.. Banks are useless.

Totally false. After all, there were 24 year olds who got the job. It's being disqualified by one's age not course of study, grade or skills. How can he get the job when he was disqualified from writing the aptitude test because he's 27?

not everyone will get into those places. I have colleagues who finished with first class and have no good jobs. You might be intelligent but lacking soft skills. Those companies you mentioned not many graduates know the them. I have a friend who refused to apply because he was rejected once. But pwc, kpmg, Ey and Deloitte all rejected me too. But I kept trying till pwc took me

rushing kids through school can affect most of them negatively. no matter how brilliant a child is there are some life ish he or she needs to learn either subconsciously or consciously.

It's so alarming that these days a kid will jump from primary 4 to JS 1, then d same kid will jump from SS2 to 100Level. these jumping or rushing of a thing has negative impact most times.

Nothing is wrong ooo,I realized when writing those tests back then that there's a skill needed to write and pass those tests, especially that SHL, GMAT and it really has nothing to do with being the best in your class.

One thing about all these coys you continue till you get the job.

I can't even remember all the companies I wrote tests even the ones I was interviewed.

It's because of the unemployment rate in Nigeria. If they graduate early, atleast they might get job before clocking 30.

There are CEO of Banks in Nigeria who studied Fishery and Botany and they are well placed. There are various philosophies concerning education and wealth.
Do what you have to do by studying and coming out. Look for a field you would like to work invest in it and you will see the returns.

Comprehension is a very difficult thing nowadays. You can't even object my observation without insult ? Are you sick in the head?
I never said people that studied these courses don't get jobs at all, all i said was their supply outweighs demand.
Next time, read thoroughly before blurting out stupid statements all in the bid to comment .
