Very soon tertiary education will completely be converted to part time , sandwich and Distance learning where well established and fulfilled entreprenuers will go and acquire degrees for the sake of having them not as a determinant factor for making it in life. I know people who have their own big factory without education who only did part time studies and finished two years ago. ASUU and FG have demoralised students. ASUU are wicked too. They will still collect all the salary arreas without work while students suffer. The lecturers cannot even respond to students online. Many of the lecturers are incompetent and lazy working in many institutions at the same time. They spend one hr for a two hr course and use 30 mins of the one hr to gist. The lecture is not impactful yet they set JAMB questions and use degree essays, dissertation and thesis to frustrate the students. They come to lecture halls unprepared and use diverssionary strategy to waste time.So if politicians do what they are doing ,where is the integrity, patriotism, sacrifice and dedication on the part of ASUU? 1 Like |

Ebenezer202I: Lol, 99% of ASUU member children's are in private university, that is why they do not care about resuming work No, do not attack him, if u attack him what about the remaining 99.99% of ASUU member? The best way to attack all ASUU member is to work hard make it and go into politics, then when u become the president sacked all those old and useless lecturer and employer the youth I have already made up my mind, once school resume I will use my school fee to buy a laptop and focus on my Forex trading full-time The Problem of ASUU is bigger than Jesus Christ himself |

sinkhole:. At the peak of the peaceful protest when the government knew the pendulum wasn't swinging to it's favour .You need see how Ngige and other stakeholders in government were willing to end the brouhaha between them. Now the protest has ended the government is unwilling to compromise as they were ready to do during the heat of the peaceful protest. This present government is a monumental fraud 1 Like |

There's need for the different student unions in the universities to begin mobilization of students for demonstrations. It is clear that both ASUU and FG are taking us for fools. In the impending students demonstration, ASUU members should not be spared but made to pay for all the troubles they have caused Nigerian students. |

Why is it hard for ASUU to receive salary through IPPIS? Why?
Is this part of fight for their students?!
If not because of students, I'm with FG in this. |

ASUU should not dictate to Government on how They should be paid so far they are paid correctly and timely. If you hire a labourer to work for you, the labourer should be concerned about his money not how he gets paid |

paulolee: Negotiation is not Aluta struggle. ASUU representatives do not need to show anger before it would depict that they are steadfast in their proposal to FG. If you read those letters from ASUU chapters you would understand that they are angry. ASUU already has FG's balls in their hands, no need shouting over it. The government sent representatives and ASUU sent representatives, there is no need to throw tantrums, if there should be need, then it should be between the lecturers and Buhari, and not ASUU as a body and government representatives. If the government does not resolve that shit, they may not be able to handle another wave of looming unrest. Whenever you want to think ASUU is not fighting for the students too, remember that the children of most ASUU members are in the Nigerian universities but that of the politicians aren't. Their kids are victims too, the lecturers themselves are being owed for months, and even years in terms of allowances. We can't cry more than the bereaved, the lecturers are the bereaved here, not the students. |
