Dear Gov Wike
I typed this as a concerned citizen of Nigeria, a sister, a friend and a daughter of the Igbo nation ( Adapurife) . I write with a heavy and sorrowful heart and a deep concern of the recent happenings and prolonged curfew placed on Oyigbo ( obigbo) people of Rivers State.
I am deeply pained that the end Sars protest that was later hijacked by hoodlums claimed several lives including that of policemen and military officials and I apologise on behalf of Oyigbo people and other well meaning Nigerians.
Sir, I am pleading with you to reconsider and lift the prolonged curfew placed on Oyigbo people and residents. I learnt you are willing to purge the state of IPOB but I believe there are so many people in Oyigbo that are not IPOB members and don't believe in their ideologies. We should not throw the baby away with the bath water.
I pray your Excellency that you lift the curfew and send the military men back to their base as the level of inhumane treatment and killings being reported is alarming and heart wrenching. I and other concerned Nigerians will be very grateful to see economic activities resume fully again in Oyigbo.
Thanks in anticipation.

Good. But. Do the southerners know the game play the north played that got the army there. They should do the same and the army will be out of there within days. Everyone keeps shouting Wile but don't know that's not how to play the game. The entire house communities ran to their Northern elders, traditional rulers. They were the ones that did the shouting and the invitation of the army. By now the entire Ndigbo traditional rulers should have been screaming at the top of their voices and the governors inclusive. Oyigbo was on fire when the SE governors met in Enugu days ago.

I was angry to my very core that that should have taken the front burner, but no. As usual, soft drinks and puff puff. It's not a single handedly Wike matter. No. That's the narrative I've been correcting on the Oyigbo incidence. Where are the traditional rulers, both in Oyigbo and Ndigbo lands? That's where the way to solve the whole mess is.

Lalasticlala, push this to front page. Maybe it will get to Wike. Since Ohanaeze and our leaders have suddenly gone dumb, let me contribute my own quota which is to appeal and beg. I feel for Obigbo people and I can imagine what they are going through right now. Wike Biko zie

It was the Sultan and the Emirates that went to table the matter for the army to be summoned and not Wike.

Before the army came, the sultan and Northern traditional rulers petitioned Buhari. Run an Internet search anyone just within a three weeks span you'll see the news, the same way, the Ndigbo traditional rulers, elders, clerics and politicians should also push the button and call for resolve.

Make the call. Post on all social media

Nairaland deliberately didn't allow the Oyigbo hit front page for reasons that to me is fishy.

I just did a search and could get nothing of such.
Why don't you place the link here, so reasonable people can verify the authenticity of your claims

the igbos are very smart but I think they are getting dumb

you had time to condemn ipob provocation what did you do with it??

you used that time to love and accept nnamdi KANU as your voice..

he ones asked for 2million youths right I guess he is sacrificing you guys..
nnamdi KANU asked for the head of wike instead of keeping shout and denying, this means he does not care about you guys as well.

if wike fails to eradicate ipob in rivers state then he should resign... he is the only Nigerian leader that is not sentimental

The jokes on you man. It seems your lie has been bursted.
Next time, always package your lies and do due diligence in packaging it, because there are still a lot of sensible people on Nairaland

Call Kanu to order, you abused me.

See what his madness has cost you people.

You left your state and christened a South South Town Obigbo instead of Oyigbo.

Are you NORMAL at all
