I have been an active Nairaland member for years now but I don’t understand what this ‘Closed Thread’ means or the reason(s) or the reason for it.
I shared news from punchng.com concerning #Endsars and later I saw this at the bottom of the webpage....

it means there is a lot of threads already opened on the same topic. So instead of having people coming on ten different threads to comment on the same topic the mods will close about eight so people can only comment on one or two threads with same topic of news.
Atleast that's my understanding.

u have been active for years and u don't know this?
The last commenter on that thread is mynd44 , he is like the sars of nairaland. He is one of the moderators here
That thread u creat has already been created before by someone else and probably the other thread has hit FP(don't ask me what FP mean), What the mod did was just to close ur own.

It means; another thread with the same topic exists already. So the moderator decided to close it to reduce the number of duplicate threads.
