@lalaboi
'Battle of Los Angeles' and 'Battle: Los Angeles' are two different films entirely.
'Skyline' came out in 2010 and it was crap if u ask me.

Country song. Well atleast some singer can act i.e Tim Mcgraw.
Film was alright but wasn't feeling Gwyn's role. Just too emotionally unstable. . .for my taste

[size=13pt]This is quite possibly the worst Asylum "movie" to date. And, that is saying a lot. It's as if they're trying to make a terrible movie every time. I enjoy the occasional B-grade SciFi movie as much as the next person, but this garbage was awful. lipsrsealed lipsrsealed

And why is it this movie takes place in an abandoned rock quarry. . .? huh Are we supposed to believe downtown Los Angeles is filled with crushed rock stockpiles? And the digital version of LAX was just sad. I guess we can just add this "movie" to the list of Asylum failures. And, it's a long list indeed. What a joke. . . . grin grin grin

The only upside to this trash heap was seeing Nia Peeples. She still looks pretty good. I would have never guessed that she will be turning 50 later this year. Although, I could have done without the eye patch. grin grin wink

Casablanca

I can't see what to write here, since so many people will be moved by this film and write something about their experience in seeing it, often time after time, "As Time Goes By". This is a freeze frame of American war propaganda at its highest point, with an array of America's greatest filmmakers collaborating at the beginning of World War II, right after the attack on Pearl Harbor. It is a work that will always be seen and be honored as the epitome of world film-art that it is. Don't take anything for granted when you watch this movie. It all has to do with time, place, and character. It's so easy to get embroiled in one or two of the character's performances that you'll miss half of the film. It's an amazing film to watch multiple times.

EXTRAORDINARY MEASURES (2010). It looked like a made-for-TV movie. Even though the story was based on true events and had A-list actors, it was just a fairly good movie. This tearjerker could have been much better but I would rather watch MY NAME IS KHAN again instead.

10/10         The fighter. . . .  A documentary, just watched it tonight.

I loved it. Even though it's  a true story, it seemed like a fashioned anthology of other true legendary stories. It seemed like the producer added some tidbits from other sources into the movie to make it seem more trivial . This documentary was too short, I wished the producer could have gone in depths with the details. I loved the ending, antagonists working together for a better end. I hated the older brother at the beginning, but ended up falling for his personality.

I have many questions. . . . what happened to Dickey in jail? Why did he suddenly turn righteous? Did his "autobiography" (the one he watched while prison) really touched him to the point of changing his character? How did he get clean from crack withdrawal that fast? Why did Mickey's mom hate Charlene from the onset, was there a history between them? Why was  Mickey's mom such a biatchhhhhhhhhh? And why does Charlene hate his family from the onset too?

I feel like the movie needed to give it's viewer more depth . . . . all in all, it was a great movie. I loved it! Even tho I closed my eyes through the boxing scenes. I literally clapped and cheered when Mickey whooped Sanchez and wahtzthelastfightnam's azz. Beautiful moments.

NEVER GIVE UP. . . .  that's all. Never think you cannot do anything by yourself, but still seek the help of others.

This film is really good. In spite of that I believe that but the attractive thing that it has is the terrible reality of the people who live in fabela. The terror that inspires a place to us like that. It is very difficult to escape to that terror and that feeling is the one that dominates the film throughout. It gives fear us, scares the reality to us, because we, as much as you readers we lived in a bubble, in a privileged world, where we have everything , or at least all our basic necessities within reach of our hands. Then we see films like these, that they show another reality to us and we were scared, and we are thankful to have the sufficient thing to live and to be able to give our pleasures us. This film is documentary an extraordinary one on the misery of the world, misery that we deal ed with not watching to be able to live peacefully. smiley smiley
