Nigeria’s Minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu, has raised concerns about the current decline in the standard of education system in the country.

While speaking at the official commissioning of completed projects at Yola college, Adamawa state, Adamu lamented that an alarming number of graduates can neither read nor write in a proper manner.

Adamu, who was represented by the Director of Tertiary Education, Hajia Rakiya Gambo Iliyasu, said that the situation was a cause for concern.

To even form a simple correct sentence is a big deal.
To use tenses correctly, still a big issue. Punctuation nko? Haaaa ...


On a more serious note though. why is it so? I know there are bound to be mistakes sometimes but some are just plain absurd and unacceptable.
