Chelsea manager Frank Lampard says people must be patient with £71m signing Kai Havertz.

The Germany international was taken off after 68 minutes of the 1-0 defeat at Everton on Saturday, the fourth successive game he has been substituted.

But Lampard defended the 21-year-old midfielder.

"In the modern-day, there is going to be criticism for every player of every club who loses a game," he said.

"We should be patient with Havertz from the Chelsea end because he is a top-quality talent who has come into this league.

Isco doesn’t get game time which means his performance rate will worsen since he’s not playing a lot. You lose your grip on football once you get benched that often.
But Havertz is a massive flop, he got substituted last night yet again. So I agree on that point, someone like Jonas Hoffman, Lars Stindl, Sabitzer or Verrati would’ve been a much better buy

All you've stated is true but he wasn't like this at Bayern. his mentality might have dropped because of he knows he has to perform at that price and also considering that league is really hard to adapt too. but I'm optimistic he will end good.
