@DAYBREAK.NG

Jurgen Klopp insisted there was no plan for Liverpool to dominate the world for years to come, insisting it was tough just to be successful in England.
After leading Liverpool to the Premier League title last season, Klopp was named The Best FIFA Men's Coach on Thursday, with four Reds also part of the FIFA FIFPro Men's World11.
After Wednesday's 2-1 win over Tottenham, Klopp's men are also three points clear atop the Premier League table this season.
But the German dismissed any talk about world domination, highlighting just how difficult it was to win in England.

yes...he made a nice point...so much money in EPL is also making the smaller or average clubs get quality players from europe top league to give the big teams a run for their money and that's why is too challenging to dominate consecutively..
but my problem with EPL is dt the league is too over hyped, I dnt see any reason why the fans keep shouting its the best league when it don't show in European competitions..
maybe its the best league in the world in business sense bt not the best in sporting sense because la liga is ahead of them...

you're rigth! think it's the style of football played in EPL. It has been more of kick and rush with less technicalities unlike laliga where little teams understand football. Football in England is not an entertainment, it's just too result oriented. The reason you see teams packing the bus. I think this have changed recently, teams are beginning to come and play. EPL is on the rise and laliga is crumbling. I am very sure Leeds will destroy Real Sociedad topping laliga currently.

love ur analysis but I dont agree with the way it ended...I think European teams are beginning to learn how to create a pattern and most especially starting to build play from the back and thats the edge dt spanish and german teams have above EPL teams dt hardly create a pattern n dts why a small Leipzig outplayed man.u..
Leeds against a sociedad would be a very close game because both teams know how to hold possession and build from the back and I still insist that most liga teams are improving with that possession football or pattern more than ur EPL team and you said la liga is crumbling??
finally, I noticed dt all la liga teams in UCL n europa all qualified unlike EPL teams, and u said EPL is rising....or isn't dt a good example to judge with..??

It's officially the most competitive league in the world.

It's officially the most watched league in the world.

It's officially the most followed league in the world.

It might not offer the most attractive of football, but guy there is no league currently better than the Premier League.

I agree agree with you that La liga teams are better than EPl in possession football. Infact, they have always been better in that regards. It's EPl that is getting better at it recently. The Leicester than won the Pl in 2015 did so by packing the bus and blistering counter. That isn't their style of play now. Sheffield, Aston villa, Fulham who are minors play good possesive football. Now with your claim about UCL, I think you shot yourself by mentioning the CL. All laliga teams qualified, how many topped their group? Only maldrid which was even share luck because they would have been dumped to europa on their last day. Now all EPL teams topped their groups save Man u who messed up their chances when they could have won Instabul and go top. In Europa also, all EPL teams topped their group, that isn't the case for la liga teams. This isn't coincidence bro. Did you just say Leipzig outplayed man u? Lol they outplayed man u by losing 7-3? No talk am again oh, even though i don't like man u, i can't stand such fallacious comment. When was the last time a laliga team did well in the CL? 2 seasons ago, it was all EPL final in CL and europa. When Maldrid played Man city they had to park the bus and still got bullied, when Athletico played Liverpool, it was an eyesore of a football cause Liverpool completely dominated them save the score line. When Chelsea recently played Sevilla, we saw what happened( swallowing 4 goals at home to a better technical team). I hope you now understand why i said la liga is crumbling and EPL is becoming better at possessive football, although still not at the level of la liga teams.

my guy I love where this argument is going but pls if you are coming from the performance of EPL and la liga teams in ucl and europa league, I think you are fighting a list battle because la liga are miles ahead of EPL when talking about european competitions...
1..in the last 10yrs spain have dominated european competitions because bara n madrid av won the UCL more than the total of each league combined....6 UCL and 7 Europa...
2..spanish teams would always be strong favorites to knock out EPL teams in these competitions..
3..you talk about Spanish teams struggling to qualify n are second in their groups but they would always deliver and end up with UCL or Europa...and am tipping athletico for ucl and sociedad or villareal for europa, remember sevilla last season against ur big man.u..

You seem to be missing something here.

Madrid and Barca and Bayern cannot make a league. It's a collective thing.

A league can produce the best team in the world and still be really poor.

The fact that Ajax are such an outstanding team, doesn't change the fact that the Eredivise is still a poor league.

He really needs to understand why some people call La liga farmers league. It's only Barcelona and Real maldrid that has won Champions league in laliga. In EPL Liverpool, Chelsea, Man U, Aston villa and Nottingham has won it that is 5:2. In Europa it's only Sevilla, Atletico and Valencia that has won it, meanwhile Tottenham, Chelsea, Man U, Liverpool, ipswich town and Leeds have won Europa that is 6:3 So which sane person will tell me, La liga is better because Real maldrid and Barcelona are good?

I beg to know ur definition of average Sir. Cos asides Madrid and Barca no current La Liga team will make EPL top 6

True, good broadcasting/branding management plus it is an English speaking country, which is the globally accepted language..
Expert branding and broadcasting makes the EPL stand out.

In technicality, hell no, In style of play, hell no.
The world loves the EPL cos it has no particular pattern of play. They do all. Tiki taka, gegen press, counter attack,
long balls etc. They showcase virtually everything

All these are obviously evident in the European competition and European awards...
EPL teams do not acquire many European awards because it's not the kind of league that allows the abnormal. How can a player score about 40 league goals in a season. (Are there no defenders in the league?) Or a single team winning the treble on an annual bases.(Imagine)

Who knew a Pep Guardiola team could struggle this much, if not for EPL.

So Sir, what are your points exactly.

I beg to know ur definition of average Sir. Cos asides Madrid and Barca no current La Liga team will make EPL top 6 - Lets not throw logic to the wind because of love of a particular league. Are your saying Athletico, Sevilla, Sociedad will not make the cut?

Expert branding and broadcasting makes the EPL stand out - I agree

The world loves the EPL cos it has no particular pattern of play. They do all. Tiki taka, gegen press, counter attack,
long balls etc. They showcase virtually everything - Jack of all trade, master of none? They will always get whooped when it comes to the European Leagues

EPL teams do not acquire many European awards because it's not the kind of league that allows the abnormal. How can a player score about 40 league goals in a season. (Are there no defenders in the league?) Or a single team winning the treble on an annual bases.(Imagine) - No I see why Ronaldo did it at Man U and why Mancity is head over heels for Messi. These two are exceptional players so this argument does not follow.. Asides them who else did it??

Who knew a Pep Guardiola team could struggle this much, if not for EPL. - One he had a great team at Barca and Like I said average or better still teams on the same level will always struggle to get a champion

So Sir, what are your points exactly. - Sir my point basically is that when leaders or supposed top clubs come to play at the European leagues, the best between them always win. The best for a lengthy period has been teams outside the EPL
My second point is that a league makes a club. If Madrid, Barca, Athletico was playing with weaker teams weekly, they will not be able to compete at top level as they
Also note that the Laliga is not even been topped currently by any of these two teams your mentioned. But in the EPL as it stands, it is already been topped by the potential winner.. So which is more competitive

LOL. Best beget best you say. So if Ajax had won the champions league 2 seasons ago, it simply makes their league the best? You must be AY. grin grin

See in simpler terms, La Liga can boast not more than four QUALITY teams. With the rest literary irrelevant and unable to challenge the top teams. Which answers the question of why only FEW Spanish teams can baost of European recognition talk more of success.

I agree with you that La Liga has produced the top 2 teams of the last decade (which are already declining as must have seen). But how many of those quality teams are in the league?

The number of quality teams in a league, determines the competitive nature of such league. And the the amount of competition in a league, determines how good it is.

On that note Sir. La Liga remains a farmers league.

Guardiola was the best coach till he came to england.
Klopp is trying.
Mourinho is still running his mouth based on past glory.
Jst admit it the league is so tough and the best because it is unpredictable.
