Few weeks ago, the leader of the indigenous people of biafra (IPOB) announced the formation of the Eastern security network. According to him, the security outfit is like the Amotekun we have in the west, whose duty is to protect the lands, lives and properties of people in the south west.

It's no longer news that our security is dead, but however I'm very surprised to see that some elements have sworn to make themselves enemies of this good project. I mean, why would a security outfit meant to protect the East give someone sleepless nights? While some northern governors are against it, some of their accomplices here in the south are trying their best to make it look like a crime to protect yourself. Some are saying that they don't have constitutional backing. Who are those with the constitutional power and what have they done with it?

Ohaneze and south east governors. These ones have never in their lives spoken up for nndigbo. All they care is their pockets and more envelopes from their masters. Ever since the day amotekun was created, nndigbo have been begging and asking these people everyday to emulate the south west governors but instead, they close their ears and pretend like all is well. While herdsmen are quietly killing people in the south east, they have decided to be blind and deaf to all the happenings in the south east. They should be ashamed of themselves. Why should Kanu create a security network before they even start planning of it? Their silence and blindness lead to the formation of the ESN.

You can't tell people that they don't have constitutional rights to protect themselves. That's a useless excuse to hide your incompetence. The police is bad and the leaders are not concerned, so the people would protect themselves. That's the plain truth. We can't wait for our leaders to come to their senses before our rights to life is respected.

I must commend mazi nnamdi Kanu for taking this bold step. I believe that he didn't just do it for the easterners ,he did it to clear the eyes of our leaders and security agents. It's a shame to see sponsored security outfits like these coming up. It shows that Nigeria has failed woefully in that area to the extent of people forming security outfits. Our leaders should see it as a wake up call rather than a reason for witch- hunting MNK and members of ipob.

I completely agree to this. The insecurity in the country is becoming something else. And as it stands, the right to life is gradually being threatened on a daily basis and our leaders are not a bit bothered.

Members of the ESN are doing nothing but the Lords Work.we must commend them.
The reason why so many enemies of indgbo feel threatened is because if the Igbo's are able to protect themselves against external aggression,Their powers ultimately get diminished.

Our leaders are use.less. They want to please the north to give them a president they may never get. To help with presidential slot, those that have been having the president how far? if not for their selfish interests.

Their greatest fear is that it is coming from ipob a group determined to break Nigeria, they see EsN as biafran army In disguise which is true, because these ESN boys I am seeing have military training, they look good for combat and might give the mediocre Nigerian army a run for their money if things move south, but it's too late for FG and Dss it is here to stay and any attempt to stop them might be the gun powder to disintegrate Nigeria..

The ESN is long overdue and ordinary should have my support.

Yet IPOB does not have the right or mandate to set-up such. What IPOB need to do is to mount pressure on state government to set-up the group. IPOB has the capacity and network to become a massive political hurricane to sweep away the incompent governors in SE. I think the only reason IPOB is not toeing that line is because they know it's not easy to lead, and they don't have the patient to use the system to their advantage and advance their own course.

IPOB may just have bungled the idea of an ESN by not working with others.

I have nothing to proof to you, bro.

I just have a question, If every Igbo man is a 'Yes Man' (on IPOB matter) how would you be able to synthesize new ideas, or refine existing one?
