What Are The Risk Factors Of Epididymitis In Males? by hennan234: 8:34am On Dec 25, 2020
Epididymitis is a very common disease in males. If the epididymitis is not treated in time, it will cause male infertility. And still can more secondary prostatitis, after urethritis, seminal vesiculitis, and other diseases. It brings great harm to male friends. So it is very important to understand the causes and symptoms of epididymitis.

Epididymitis caused by sexually transmitted disease.

Many factors increase the risk of epididymitis caused by sexually transmitted diseases, including:

High-risk sexual behaviors: It includes multiple sexual partners, sexual partners suffering from sexually transmitted diseases, not using condoms during sexual intercourse, etc.

Ever had an sexually transmitted disease: if you've ever had a sexually transmitted disease, you're more likely to have epididymitis if you've been infected again.

Epididymitis caused by non-sexually-transmitted-disease infection

Many factors increase the risk of epididymitis caused by non-sexually transmitted diseases, like history of the prostate or urinary tract infection: long term urinary or prostate infection can cause epididymitis. Therefore, you need to assess possible risk factors.

First of all, think about whether you have had unsafe sex recently. The infection can be sexually transmitted, so unsafe sex, especially with multiple partners, carries a risk of epididymitis. If you have had unsafe sex recently and have some symptoms, it means you may have the disease.

Wear a condom every time you have sex, even if you don't have vaginal sex. Whether you have oral, anal, or vaginal sex, you need protection.

Epididymitis is usually caused by sexually transmitted infections, including chlamydia, gonorrhea, and certain bacteria that spread during anal sex.

Secondly, check your recent medical history, including surgery and catheterization. Frequent use of the catheter may cause urinary tract infection and epididymitis. Similarly, recent surgery in the groin may cause the disease, so if you think that's the problem, you can consult a doctor.

Besides, consider recent trauma to the area. Although it is not common, it can be caused by injuries to this part of the groin caused by kicking or hitting the knee. If the area has recently been injured and has symptoms, you may have epididymitis.

Remember, the cause may not be certain. Although there are other more rare causes, such as tuberculosis or mumps, there is also the possibility that doctors cannot find out the cause at all. Sometimes, you feel that you have this disease for no reason.

Whether you can find out the cause or not, the doctor won't comment on you. They just want to help you recover. Usually, the herbal medicine Diuretic and Anti-inflammatory Pill can be used to treat the epididymitis and improve your urinary health. It is harmless and effective.
