I still get mine from my fiancee. She uses MoneyGram and they now pay me in dollars from the counter. I then take the dollars to the Hausa guys on my street who change it to naira for me.

No i take it from the counter at any bank branch that operates moneygram like UBA and First Bank

How much do you usually get per dollar?

You can use world remit, they now send in dollar to Nigeria through domiciliary account or cash pick up. I have done cash pickup it was easy nd you will be asked if you want it in dollar or they should convert it for you.

- Valid ID card.
- Passport photograph.
- 2 reference forms.
- Recent utility bill.

If you have a current account already, just tell them to open a domiciliary acct for you. They’ll use your already existing info.

you don't need $100 to get it opened, all you just need is to get 2 referees with current acct in the same bank and you are good to go, most especially in gtb

Not opening balance, there is a difference between the two.

Referees in the same bank only makes it easier/faster to confirm, they can however be from other banks.

Looking at my Account now, lately only USD, bank transfer, cash pick up and airtime. I don't see anything in naira. Sending to family sometimes.
