A younger man asked a question, directing it to a wise man, Socrates the great philosopher, He asked what’s the secret to success. The wise man, Socrates carefully heard him out and patiently waited for him to Land.

Then after he must have finished Socrates asked him to join him on his morning walk near the river the next day then he will give him the answer to the question.

As Instructed, the next morning the young man went for the walk with Socrates, He then asked the young man to walk with him towards the River, as they proceeded further into the river the water rose from their knee to the waist and then to the neck, Unknowing to the young man Socrates which was stronger than he was ducked him into the water.


He struggled to release himself and to get a breath but it was to no avail since Socrates was the Stronger One and submerged Him till he changed blue. Then Socrates Immediately released his head and dragged him out of the water. The Young Man immediately gasp taking a deep breath.

The wise Philosopher Socrates turned and Asked the Young man: What did you want most at the time your head was in the water? Then He immediately said “Air”.
Socrates looked at him and said to him, that is just the secret to success. Until you want Success as badly as you needed the air while you were still in the water, only then will you get it. There’s no other secret to success.
